Why no shutter speed info? I think that it's a key info. How can I judge a camera in low light with same iso setting but with double shutter speed for example? Now I have to download the images and read exif, if you add this important info, than will be a lot easier compare different camera's.
Lucas_: It's a start. Anyway, Panny is quite ahead and Sony ( not shown on this demo ) is easily the master with the SLT design.
Sony slt design it's simply the best option, today, because not only work superb well, but it work with all alpha lens, even minolta.
You have to build an entire system lens with stepper motors for good result with pdaf on sensor, otherwise..... :(
mmmmm... I dont' know if it's better to buy a very pocketable camera, with a 28-100 f1,8-4,9 with in lens active steady shot and a display viewable even in bright light or a camera non pocketable with a 30-74 f3,5-5,6 without vr.... mmmmm
Brigcam: How are you supposed to do any meaningful comparison with this tool when the shooting parameters aren't equal?
For example, G3 vs OM-D same lens (OLYMPUS 50mm Lens) at 1600:
OM-D S:1/400 A:6.3G3: S:1/640 A:6.3
yes but difference it's too much... nex-7 have an entire ev of difference in timing
nex-7: iso 6400 - f8 - 1/2000se-m5: iso 6400 - f6,3 - 1/1600s
You have to compare nex-7 at 3200 iso and e-m5 at 6400 iso...
Gianluca101: "This isn't intended to be a controlled test for direct comparison between cameras. That's what our studio comparison tool is for."
Totally non sense due to the fact that same camera's have at least 1 and 1/3 ev more light than other ....
Nikon d3s -iso 6400 - f8 - 1/2000s Nikon d7000 - iso 6400- f9 - 1/1600s Sony nex-7 - 6400 iso - f8 - 1/2000s Pentax k5 - 6400 iso - f9 - 1/1600s
Panasonic gx1 - 6400 iso - f6,3 - 1/1600s
It's not a single aberrant camera, try your self to compare timing from leica m9 or canon g1x
I think that to compare cameras with same iso timing have to be comparable
"This isn't intended to be a controlled test for direct comparison between cameras. That's what our studio comparison tool is for."
sony nex-7: iso 6400 - f8 - 1/2000spanasonic gx1: iso 6400 - f6,3 - 1/1600scanon g1x: iso 6400 - f7,1 - 1/1000s
It's a non sense at all...
Gianluca101: In the last days this tool it's became totally useless... if you try too download the images from raw or jpeg you can find that
from sony to panasonic there's a full EVfrom sony to canon there's a full EV and 1/3..
WHY? WHY? WHY?
50*2=100 mm equivalent
