I am a hiker/traveler first, photographer second. I strive very hard to maintain this order of focus. The whole idea behind my photography is to record the places I hike and travel to. I use the best camera equipment I can afford in order to record those places with as much clarity as possible. I am free to compose scenes in ways that I feel are interesting. I am not confined to composing for what may sell the best. I strive to sharpen my skills so that my actions do not result in the loss of clarity this fine equipment provides. Even thinking about turning these passions into a job, disturbs me. Actually, I am trying to find a way to retire from a job that is financially more rewarding than that of the average professional photographer. Absolutely nothing wrong with professional photographers, but I want to shoot what I want to shoot when I want to shoot it, thank you very much, and not have to worry about someone else's approval.

	Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM
	Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM	Sold this lens to reduce weight in my backpack. Bought the lighter 17-40L in its place.
	Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM	Bought this lens to replace the original 16-35 in order to trim weight in my backpack. The 17-40 was lighter but the IQ was not comparable. Sold it after buying and evaluating the 16-35 II.
	Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM	Owned two copies over the years. Sold the first copy to lighten the weight in my backpack. Sold the 2nd copy because I was convinced a 24-70 II was about to be released - 1 1/2 years ago. :)
	Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L USM	Returned to B&H due to poor corner performance.
	Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM
	Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM	Returned 2 copies to B&H for back focus issues unrelated to the focus shift dilemma. This was pre-Microadjustment.

	Canon Extender EF 2x II	Sold this item when I sold the 16-35, 24-70 & 70-200 f2.8 IS to cut down on the weight.
	Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L	Sold this lens with the intention of replacing it with ver II. Haven't done so as of this writing.
	Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2,8/25	Returned this first copy to B&H, which I adapted to EOS, because it had strange out of focus areas which I blamed on the adapter. I decided I would revisit the lens at a later date.
	Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2/28	Returned this first copy to B&H, which I adapted to EOS, because I was put off by the strong field curvature but the lens was so sharp that I decided I would revisit the lens at a later date.
	Contax Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 28mm f2.8	After buying the Leica 28mm R, this lens paled in comparison. Sold it.
	Contax Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7	Sold it. My worst performing 50mm lens.
	Contax Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 35-70mm f3.4	Sold it. One of the best Contax lenses I owned, 2nd only to the Zeiss 21mm in terms of IQ. Just had too many really decent options in this range so I opted for lenses that could provide both AF & MF focusing.
	Leica Elmarit-R 35mm f2.8 (E55)	Having several choices at 35mm, I decided to sell this lens.
	Nikon AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED	Returned this copy along with the D700 when, during evaluation, Canon announced the 5D mkII.
	Nikon D700	Returned the D700 & 14-24G to Amazon after two weeks when, during evaluation, Canon announced the 21 MP 5D mkII.
	Olympus H.Zuiko OM 24mm f2.8	Returned two copies of this discontinued lens to KEH. Both were bad copies.
	Olympus OM 24mm f2 Zuiko	Bought this lens from KEH after returning two 24mm f2.8 lenses that were bad copies. Excellent lens but I reached a point where I had too many lenses in this FOV so I sold it.
	Olympus Zuiko 21mm f2	Returned to seller at Fred Miranda. Terrible IQ, most likely, a bad copy.
	Sigma 14mm f2.8 EX Aspherical	Pretty terrible IQ. Returned it to B&H.
