50/50 in less than 24 hrs !Thanks everyone...Limit extended.
The Mick: There are some truly phenomenal images in this challenge! I hope those who take the time to vote will recognize this and save the low scores for some other challenge. It's all subjective, and while some may be nicer than others, personally, I don't see any throwaways here. Great job and best of luck to all the participants!Best regards,Mick
Thanks for your nice words !
mihayo: " it can be anything beautiful asking for attention..."
Please explain to me which is the theme?a. it is about me who i can't help staring at something in these photos ( being captivated by something )b. person/animal who is staring at me
answer is (a)
I have been requested to disqualify this image as a leaf is seen. But since I can find a spider beneath the leaf I cannot disqualify.
poppyjk: Host Saswata: Do you intend to make a distinction between a photo that shows construction activity in progress and a photo that just shows a completed subject? There is a very big difference. If a completed subject, would the pyramids of Egypt constructed 4500 years ago be an acceptable subject?
I am extremely sorry to say I made a mistake. The right statement should be : 'Not just the construction of buildings... anyTHING UNDER construction ...'Apologies for this mistake. Thanks for pointing out.BUT SINCE THE MISTAKE HAS ALREADY BEEN COMMITTED ... WE ARE BOUND TO ACCEPT YOUR PYRAMID PHOTOGRAPH. GO AHEAD.
'The name of the mobile/cell phone model MUST be mentioned (like 'Nokia E5'), failing so will attract disqualification.'
We just want to confirm that we are not just looking for photo-art (Hugely manipulated / photoshopped photographs are ENCOURAGED).Any photograph relating to the topic is most welcome.
Disqualified this image initially. But the photographer provided proper explanation. So it is back.
l_objectif: Are photo composites allowed?
not encouraged, but won't be disqualified.
Wildbegonia: Are snow storms allowed?
Molarjung: A Couple of Sample Entries, please!!!
One or two sample entries will put the thoughts on a single track. we do not prefer that. For your reference please check entries already been entered. All of them are OK.Cheers !
Jen003: Could I please seek clarification? Is the Challenge, Toes & Fingers; or is it Toes OR Fingers?Thank you
'only toes' : ACCEPTED'only fingers' : ACCEPTED'toes and fingers' : ACCEPTED
Molarjung: A very creative challenge! I love it.
karlwitt: I hope someone can tell me why my photo was disqualified. It said anything or person.
Okay, you are back.
Thanks everyone for the overwhelming response !The limit has been raised to 150 !Cheers !:-)
In the small disqualifying-message you have been requested to explain why you consider the subject of your phtotgraph to be 'useless'.Many a participants have been asked the same question and few photographs have been returned to the challenge based on the answer.Kindly comply.Cheers !
Would like to know where in WA ?
RaptorUK: Can I enter a picture of your Bridge Over The Brook Challenge ? it was totally Useless.
I personally don't need any one to judge my challenges and, I am quite certain, neither do dpreview (otherwise there would have been a system to rate the challenges based on 'useful'-ness) .
I am quite satisfied with the volume of the entries and votes my challenges get, and this is enough indication how 'useful' the challenges are.
If some raptor thinks my challenges could not live up to his expectation my earnest request to him would be: please stay off from my challenges, stop polluting the challenge environment with gem of your comments and find out better and more useful place to blabber.
If your intelligence tells you that all the 100 photographers who participated and all 2290 votes cast for 'Bridge over the Brook' were for something useless you sure can post a photograph from that challenge. And title it 'This is what my useless intelligence could think of'
