Ditto. Fully calibrated here. No splotches in these, either in-line or viewed at any magnification in the DPR viewer.

Maryland or Pennsylvania. Painted Turtles being either exuberant or wary (hard to tell).
Florida. Don't know type.

1. If you have to look for the noise, it isn't a factor (yet).
2. My a77 has _a lot_ more chroma noise at regular ISOs (100-1600) than my a850. It is the #1 reason I don't like the a77.

Cormorant, as you now know. Don't worry about missing the size -- size is the least reliable of our observations. Birds generally look bigger when the sky is overcast -- but for the best example,...

Hi. I am trying to use my DP2M. (I tried for three weeks, gave it up for three months to get some work done, and am now trying again.) The color is uncontrollable, and bad. Grayscale pictures...

... Thanks for the additional advice. I was planning on handling the bodies in NYC, but without _both_ IBIS and a fully-articulating LCD (one of the features I grew to depend on with the G1), the...

... it's just not worth the cost right now if I don't get both IBIS and a fully-articulated LCD. Thanks for your response, which was helpful.

Extremely useful, imho. If it had one, I'd consider purchase. The lack of one is, for me, a fatal flaw. The one LCD implementation I have never understood is the partly-tilting LCD.

Super work. The raccoon pose, with the hand, was new to me, and so especially appreciated among much that is superb. Thanks for taking the time to post and label.

I use 2-battery chargers that came with some inexpensive LED light kits. I have never had any problems with any of the seven batteries I use with my two FF Sony bodies. The chargers are generic...

Sorry. That hurts.
There is no evidence that the estimate is unrealistic, though. Silly -- sure, but that doesn't make it unrealistic.
Fwiw, my cat sent my 70-400G from my work-table to the...

Super! The Sacred Kingfisher is new to me. Thanks.

I was about to ask "What's wrong with that squirrel. Yikes.
Nice work all 'round.

One layer of cheap toilet paper held in place with a rubber band works surprisingly well, and provides an unbeatable bang-for-the-buck. Leave some space between the flash lens and the paper.
