Looks much less soft when viewed at "original" size. But then, noise is detectable even at 200 ISO !
Otherwise seems a very nice and handy camera. Especially with is collapsable lens if its quality is good.

Ohlala ! Tell me what's important : The result (photo) , or the last perfect pixel ? To me the 2 photographs shows are pretty impressive the way they are ! Do continue this way Benjamin !

Magnificent boat and nice photo but .... viewpoint in priciple much to high. Ideally, the horizon should be behind the boat's hull. But then, of course, one must no doubt dispose of a another boat to take the image from. Moreover, sailboat images are generally more interesting and have more impact when taken at a 3/4 angle (front or rear) from the leeside of the boat.
Success for next time, will be watching out !

Does it make sense to compare cameras with and without a viewfinder ? I suggest you to redo the comparison with optional viewfinders attached !

Great ! But why the hell no image stabilizer ? The X10 (great small camera by the way) features one !

Why still no review on X10 ? Was supposed to come ! And why no answer to requests such as tis one ? A little "blasé" ?

Own a X10 since about a month now. Excellent allround apart from a few excentricities. Just did an extensive series (a "making off") in indoor low light. Excellent results keeping ISO at 800. Amazing performance of EXR mode in those circumstances. Virtually no colour noise and luminance noise almost like grain; not unpleasant at all and no visible loss of sharpness. Clearly remarkable dynamic range. But in normal lighting circumstances I do prefer "old fashioned" A setting.
BUT WHEN IS DPREVIEW COMING WITH ITS IN DEPTH REVIEW ??? Was announced for the first days of this months ! Is there a problem ?

In reply to:

tinpusher: I love the camera but worth remembering that any advantages of the EXR sensor come at the expense of resolution even in Non-EXR mode.
So you get great colour , low noise and decent DR but not the detail found in an image from an LX5 or G12.
I'm learning to live with that although sometimes it doesn't matter after post processing.

Try RAW and develop with Lightroom. That will change your opinion ! Success.

Remarkable results using Raw and Lightroom. After having tested, and apart from ease of use for some, I don't see much interest in EXR mode and none in Scene modes. Also WB while shooting with flash (internal or external) is not perfect (though easily adjustable in Lightroom). DR adjustment works wonderfully well (I put it under the Fn button). Manual focus not very useable. Optical viewfinder OK, but not remarkable. Miss focus rectangle (I use AF-S centrum focus).

Got my X10 since 10days and tested it thoroughly. Delighted with almost all aspects, I oversaw this problem. Tested again especially and compared with Olympus E30, Lumix G1 and Lumix LX3.
I found virtually the same results (but much better color and less noise in the Fuji) but, indeed, slightly more blooming is visible, but only visible in very strong enlargements ! Examples from DP Review are on 100% !
So, nice if FUJI can improve, but I'm not exactly going to have nightmares over this "problem".
