  • Valeriu, it is a spec comparison website. There are many out there. I'd be surprised if there was more than one part-time employee running any of those websites. They definitely don't do their own ...
  • It all started for me when my grandfather died and I was given his latest, fanciest camera — the K1000. I had other cameras since I was a kid, from a plastic yellow 110-cartridge-consuming toy and ...
  • Great set of images from what looks like a really fantastic lens, thanks for sharing, eh. -R
  • You know, as a dirty Canuck I probably use the word "eh" more than the next guy. But this is really the first time I've ever been left scratching my head wondering what the implication was in its use.

Phantom reviews nothing, that blatant nip slip right front and centre is the big giveaway here. You'd think the makers of a legitimate photographic tool would have forgone that sort of "really ...
  • Beautiful shots, Dean. If I had to choose, I'd definitely opt for the last one. With the bank coming directly towards the viewer, I feel more connected to the image, more drawn in than the first to ...

I'm sure it's a great lens, but Sigma's Art series is a little out of my price range :D -R
  • They are. :D As already mentioned, they both use the decades-old K-mount. This is fantastic as there are so many old legacy lenses out there that can keep you shooting while you save up for the ...

That's one of the first three lenses I'll be pairing with the K-1 for sure. It's just too bad they don't have a 21, that's pretty much my go-to focal length for a lot of things. 24 is great, too, ...
  • It's a great question, and I think a lot of the answers here are missing the point somewhat. Rather than comparing APS-C to full-frame benefits-wise and in a general way, I think your assumption ...
  • Considering how well it performed on the super-demanding K-3, I don't think there's too much to worry about with the 24-90. The corners obviously aren't great wide-open, but it's sweet spot ...
  • The first three :D Looks like the FA limiteds are about to get an update! -Raj

You pretty much just described the FA 3.5-4.5/24-90. That was absolutely my favourite zoom lens ever, I was hoping it would be the one to get an update for kitting with the full frame. But from ...

    Holy ****.
  • I always thought it looked pretty neat when people had hood loupes permanently attached to their K-01s, like a huge EVF on a tiny brick body. That's one work-around for sunny days, anyways. -R
  • An update to the K-01, apparently. It would have a cult following if it was K-01 ugly. But not if it was Sigma ugly. As an aside, I think the K-01 is gorgeous. -R

  • Wow. If it costs a kidney or two that requires some personal sacrifice. But 250 kidneys? You'd have to be a criminal — or well-paid transplant surgeon. Just who exactly is their target market with...

  • That was quick :D I can't remember the exact price but I'm certain it was in the $450 ballpark. There were two of them for sure... -R EDIT: found them. I copied the link again but it looks the ...
  • This one might be a decent alternative if you can put up with green-button metering: https://www.keh.com/shop/pentax-200mm-f-2-5-smc-k-mount-manual-focus-lens-77-696181.html. It's gotten some ...
