While I wait anxiously for confirmation of what the k3's images look like, I'm still very pleased and a little nervous that Pentax is moving into a new phase. The K5IIS is an amazing camera for...

The DA primes tend to have less CA and my impression is that they focus a bit faster. Aperture is usually a bit slower though. The FA's were film era lenses but are among my favorite Pentax...

I own the 77 and it is a fantastic lens. There's so much to love about it - bokeh, character, sharpness, color, microcontrast, build quality. Just great and a lens that I will have for my Pentax...

updated k5iis and all is well

Just curious but why the emphasis on CAF and not phase detect? Do you use live view as your primary focusing and not through the viewfinder? Personally, changing AF points is way faster using...

hmmmm.... commercial space for a studio??? You have the skills for it that's for sure!

very nice - one of my favorite lenses. another one in good hands I see :)

really like your b/w pics - I wonder how this compares to the FA 50 1.4 in terms of optical qualities? it seems similar....

Just a cat as we were walking to our car from my favorite restaurant - his face looks mean, but just a sweet cat to greet the passers by.

Good that you got it working. Thing is, I've bought 2 k-01's and they both came with a manual. The seller should be getting you a discount... I also have a k5iis and it came with a manual too. I...

And how much do you think the lens on an MX-1 will be worth when it dies or the owner wants to upgrade it? Oh yeah... it's meant to be disposable. The Q system will keep improving.

You should be fine with these sports. Car racing and horse racing are pretty predictable as to where your target is going. There is some technique involved, like with most things, but it should...

Your english is excellent! I don't know if all of libya is dusty and sandy, but the weather seals on the k30 would be important to me in those conditions. So if that is the case, I might...

that would be a pleasure to photograph her!! I'd probably be a little too distracted :) So what kind of lighting set up are you using - regardless, it is working well!

ouch! with that track record I'd be discouraged also... I suppose I've been fortunate. So far including a few q's and a couple k01's, I've had 10 Pentax DSLR's and even more Pentax lenses that...

The first thing I would do is get off the ship and mount the camera from solid ground on a tripod at iso 100. But given what you had to deal with, 1/8 of a second is just not going to realistically...

I'm more excited about the rounded aperture blades as the 100 WR I have seems to benefit from this.
I wonder if Pentax would ever consider adding these to the FA limiteds.... that could be cool!

That is a tough one. ... i have both and both are good. The k30 is smaller lighter and has focus peaking. The k5 has a tougher shell longer life battery a top lcd screen and the option of...

I have the k10d and also the Pentax k30 and k5 - the Pentax k30 is much much much better than the k10d. Although the k10d was an excellent camera for it's time, AF speed and high iso performance...
