I hope Canon will be successful. But I never understood all the bashing Sigma got for their innovative Foveon sensor, despite it's quirks and shortcomings.

Sigma is mainly a lens manufacturer. That's where their income comes from. They will never make cameras for other lens mounts.

Great images, I've been considering d800, but I'll wait and see if and how the d600 will fare. With limited budget, I'm taking a look at Samynag lenses to go with it.

The first one is beautiful, perhaps I would have cloned the building crane out. I'm tempted getting this combination, D800+14-24mm. Might wait for the D600 though.

Sigma deserves a credit for this camera. They were somewhat pioneers with the dp1 and dp2, I'm sure this camera will appeal to people who want the best IQ. But at this price, it's only for the...

I think people do buy Sigma cameras, after all it's maybe the only camera available with true pixel sharpness.
