PieterVuylsteke: In Belgium.
On the boundery of the Condroz and the Famenne. Famenne is a plateau that is a bit higher than the Condroz. One needs to cross some up and downhills to get onto that plateau.
Temperature was about 10 degrees, but remaining snow produced cold air and thus fog.
I forced my luck to be there at the right moment. Remember Galen Rowell.

Where was it taken? Thanks for sharing this nice picture.
Where was it taken? And when was it taken? Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture.
Honestly, in 2015, to ask photographers to provide black and white pictures for a challenge is completely stupid and ridiculous. It is like asking to watch TV in a very old black and white version of it instead of using the color TVs that are now at least at 1080p!!!
The world is in color, not in black and white and therefore, for this reason alone, asking black and white pictures in a challenge is stupid.
I know that many people have this false idea that black and white pictures are artistic but they are not at all; in fact, they are dead, without life pictures, as it is color in our world that makes any object and person alive and then, when we die, then we indeed become black and white!!
Thanks for sharing this nice picture.
Which lake is it, which location is it?
Thanks for sharing this beautiful close-up picture. I love hummingbirds! They are so beautiful!
Strange to call it rufous when it does not look red at all! It looks more like brown or brown-orange.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture. One of my favorite birds.
MichaelIsGreat4: A black and white picture in 2015? I never fail to be highly disappointed when someone posts such a black and white picture, no matter how good it is! Obviously, this picture would have been way much better in color!!!For this reason alone, this picture should not get a 1st place even though it is a good picture.
Oh, here we are!! You said it yourself: "And whether 2015 or 3015, B&W images will still be around due to their artistic nature."
IT IS A MYTH!!! (Capitals only to highlight important words). There is NOTHING AT ALL artistic about a black and white picture!! In fact, the black and white nature of such a B&W picture kills the picture, whitewashing it of its colorful life!! It is one of those bogus, false, ridiculous ideas that has been around for way too long and if I am the only one on the planet to destroy this myth for good, so be it!!
Having said that, you are entitled to believe or like black and white pictures even if you falsely believe in their artistic nature but this picture cannot, should not and does not deserve to be at the first place for this very reason that it is in black and white!!So, I respectfully disagree with you in a friendly way I could say.

Thanks for sharing this picture but where has this picture been taken?
Thanks for sharing this really nice picture. BUT what is the name of this flower? Thanks.
This picture would be so much better in color than in black and white!
I do know that this challenge is for pictures of dogs in black and white but I will never ever understand people who fantasize on black and white pictures as if it was the hallmark of artist photographers when it is not, especially when our world is in color, not in black and white.
Do you have a color version of this picture? It should be much nicer and better in color than it is in black and white.
As a matter of fact, I have never understood people taking black and white pictures, as for me at least, black and white pictures are dead because we live in a world of colors, not in black and white.
I love your beautiful picture. Thank you for sharing it with us.
If you do not mind, did you post-processed this picture and, if it is the case, how?Or did you get these various sunset colors when you took it?
And was it the original highest resolution for this picture?
Thanks for your feedback on these questions.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture. Where was it taken from?
