Why are DSLR's doing well in the market place while compacts have declined and Mirrorless ILC's appear to have stalled ? I believe buyers who want something better than a smartphone are looking for a Proper Camera, the features of which can be identified.

Panasonic was the first to make a mirrorless compact system camera, the G1, styled like a small DSLR, as were subsequent models with built in EVF. I propose an alternative design which I believe provides much improved viewing, handling and operating.
