  • I had exactly the same experience with my A6000 and iPhone 5s. I gave up pretty quickly as it is not a priority to me. But it might be a nice feature when needed if it worked.
  • No. The 5N external flash uses a Sony proprietary port slot. It can only be used for the 3 and 5 NEX's. They do sell basically the same flash with a hot shoe for the A6000.
  • I think that is a problem with all image stabilization systems. They should always be turned off for long exposure and or during tripod use.
  • Have you tried the A6000's new focusing and tracking system? It's fantastic. Not quite DSLR but I think it will be very comparable to the V3. And the sensor is bigger and better while the body is...

  • You need to remove the memory card before you start. detach the USB connection and close the program. Then turn off your camera, remove the card, and take out the battery for a minute and then put ...
  • I just ordered from B&H. I did notice it is out of stock at some other stores, such as Norman Camera. Odd, because B&H is usually the go to shop for so many folks that they run out of hot gear ...
  • I went and updated the 18-55mm to version 2. It still works fine on the older 5N body so the firmware is backwards compatible with all older bodies after the update. The PDAF is unbelievably fast, ...
  • If I update the 18-55 kit lens from my 5N (which I still own and plan to use for sand/beach duty) to version 2 software for the A6000 will it still function properly on the 5N? I don't really need ...
  • Thanks for posting. I like the Lightroom conversion better. The OOC Jpeg's look too aggressively sharpened. I just picked up  an A6000, but need to get out of work to shoot with it. I couldn't ...

Just picked one up yesterday. I bought a 5N as my travel/grab and go camera two years ago when I didn't want to lug my SLR set up, which is currently a 5D3 and assorted lenses. I invested pretty...

  • Correction: I didn't receive a shipping notice. For some reason they sent me a second order confirmation (a week later? ) that looks exactly like one of their shipping notices.
  • Pre-ordered from B&H about a week or so ago.
  • I received a shipping notice yesterday for my silver 50 mm. TCL.

No, but it doesn't leak. First things first.

Peevee, I wouldn't buy it either, as I said. But the why is easy. Much better sensor and resulting IQ and according to the review, much faster in acquiring focus and getting the shot Than the lower...

I have not had much luck with waterproof cameras. I had two different Canon's and both died within a year or so due to leakage.
My current solution is a housing made for the Canon S90, which i'd...

  • I agree with the writer. 8 MP is plenty for a phone. If I'm serious about keeping memories of an event then I'm bringing my Canon 5D3 or at least my Fuji 100S. The phone is for unexpected moments.
