Shame it is only US and not here in blighty, as I like the idea of a K-5 IIs and SMC-FA 77mm F1.8 Limited. Oh well, I will stick to my K-5 and DA* lenses...

The market share is not that tiny in the far east, but that is by the by. Sigma are legends to announce the initial mounts on a new lens. In view of Pentax stubborn dedication to APS-C at the...

Fuji once made a cracking little bridge camera - the S5000 - which had some really good features. RAW Lens surround that could be unscrewed to make the camera pocketable, but with it on you could...

It makes you wonder why so many brands are bringing out black and silver cameras. Why? because they look so pleasing, retro, a product of a better time etc. Is it a good thing? For me YES! I have...

Richard is right, it is the processor that converts the data from the array to an image. Anyway, the 16.3MP APS-C Sony sensor that is used by not only Sony, but Nikon, Pentax and rumour has it,...

Keep it up Barney, you and the team are doing a great job. I am look forward to the full review in due course.

Very nice camera. I liked the original but never bought one. however a few photo friends did, and love the X100. I might be tempted to get one now, especially as the results of the "mk1" look...

I could not agree more. Jacobs were THE BEST. The Manchester store had the best, most dedicated staff who were all photographers. Not only that they would give expert advise to potential buyers,...

If you mean on the cut away corners of classics, then yes, same as the SV, SpotF etc http://kmp.bdimitrov.de/bodies/film_M/MX.html

Fair point Corgi. But if you are aware of the classic Pentax SLR and have some their bodies, you can see where the retro look comes from. When I say retro, yes it looks like a camera from a bygone...

Fair point. Like you say we got used to each. If you get get a camera from the same make, then you are bound to know instantly where to go. I am used to both Pentax menu systems and prefer the...

I actually hope it has the same menu system as my K-5, which is far better than my earlier Pentax SLR's. The i-10 menu was awful, but I think it was "off the shelf" rather than Pentax own. As for...

They are in the same position as the classic Pentax SLR's of the 60's and 70's. Having both and SV and Spotmatic F, in all honesty it is not an issue.

I already have LX-5, which will do my hotshoe needs apart from my DLSR's and MF, so as walkabout compact that performs, I like the MX-1 too. Maybe the MX-2 will have one. :-)

I want one! There said it. I have waited for Pentax to bring out a prosumer compact for years. Now they have and it is gorgeous! Who cares about lack of hotshoe. I want one!

Personally I rather like the look of the black one. It is a sort of love child of the NEX5 and Leica X series. Which is no bad thing. As for lenses, as Samsung do an adapter for the NX to K-mount,...

This is possibly a must lens for all Pentax users. Why?Well to start it is tiny. A true pancake lens, so a major talking point.Does this mean it compromises in image quality? Not a bit of it. This...
