That's awesome that they use a measuring tape. Maybe I can have an assistant or 10 too? Just because you don't need/want something for a certain camera doesn't mean it's not useful to someone...

I too would like to see an updated K-30. My wishes include better battery life, better functioning with external bounce flash and focus peaking during video.
Is it just me that when I come to...

I know this.... and I just sold my K-x. #pentaxfail

This is important to me as well. My Metz 50 worked well in multiple positions with my K-x but I'm hesitant to upgrade to a K-5II because of the issues I've heard about. It hasn't worked so well...

I kind of like the idea of being in those big brick and mortar stores where many regular people go to handle and buy cameras (Best Buy, Target, etc.). Lots of those people aren't yet married to a...

Selling this awesome little camera to help fund a move. It is a Pentax K-x in excellent condition! 12.4 megapixels and in camera HDR mode among many other in camera filters. I've used this for many...

I like 5 the best- moody, good composition, complimentary to the model. I think the flowered bedspread is a little busy (you may not have a choice on that) and distracts from the model on the...

I was contemplating an external mic but didn't have time to get one before my last gig (real estate tours) so I used the onboard mic. Had it turned up to 5 and the sound was solid, especially...

This is mostly over my head, so basic question: If I'm sharpening photos in Lightroom, is that deconvolution sharpening? It sounds like deconvolution sharpening is the best way, so if Lightroom...

Thanks math guy. I must confess that I cheated on the sky, it was more overcast. I figured that since the whole photo is surreal and I wasn't going for a realistic representation it wasn't that...

More impressive than the panorama is the fact that I was able to take photos on a tripod in a park two blocks from the White House without being questioned :)

I had seen some online and wanted to try it. So here is my first planet panorama. It was a good photoshop learning experience.

Thanks Pentax_Prime, much appreciated!

The Fuji is nice but for the price difference I'll keep the K-01 any day. I think I'll eventually upgrade my K-x to a K-5II or something but I like the K-01 for video especially.

Thanks! The wide angles are shot with the DA 10-17. I enjoy the fisheye but I also appreciate that at 17mm it is basically a rectilinear UWA. Most the other shots were taken with a Tamron 28-75....

My first extended use with my new K-01 came on my recent honeymoon to Italy. I really enjoyed the big and bright lcd as well as the detail the camera was able to provide.
Funny story- I handed...

I don't miss the viewfinder as much as I thought I would. Keep in mind I've only had it a month and used it mainly on vacation where the lack of viewfinder was sometimes nice as I was more aware...

Gerry,
Is that multiple exposure feature and blend that you mentioned something that is unique to the K-5? Or can I do that on my K-01 or K-x? It happens all in camera?
