Hey folks , see my gallery here: http://www.treknature.com/members/mwmod99/ .... most of the images there has been shot with the central focusing point activated only ..... in 95% of the cases, my Canon 5D MarkII has been very accurate, so based on my personal experience I think that even the simplified auto-focus of the new 6D should be even better than than my old 5D MarkII.

OK ...lets say that the D600 has the upper hand in regards to some specifications, despite the amateurish build in flash and the cheap plastic body. The 6D has to be superior in the Image quality comparison however. As a proud owner of the old Canon 5D MarkII, I personally do not care so much about the type of auto-focusing since I have always use the central focusing point. And lets do not forget the fact that Canon's EF lens lineup is very ...very and I mean very strong indeed, a fact which many people are willing to forget. After all a great lens is a better investment than a camera body which in few months or a year time will be replaced with another.

mohamadyounes: This is for sure the most sophisticated upcoming piece of art in the lenses industry. Am Tamron fan and had a lot of. Now got the 24-70 last week and to be honest, it is just a wow. The 70-200 will never be less than wow and will buy it on the first day I put my hand on it when launches in the market. Tamron is doing great job. That is we were waiting for.

Let's see the reviews however! The words of the manufacturers has to be confirmed first ... so hope they are right. The price also has to be competitive as well

Documensony: These lenses come in mft, E and X mounts ... so what happened to Samsungs NX mount??

Seems that Samsung is a small player for the well established SLR Magic .....

I hope to see shortly a new updated version of the old and not so good 200-500 zoom from Tamron! It is about time ...

For a wide angle lens the AF and Image stabilization are not important features. I hope that the resolving capabilities of this lens is good, specially at the edges of the frame.

There is no doubt that currently Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM II has received the highest possible rating between all competitors in that class, and when Tamron is claiming that the their new lens has ..."achieve leading-edge image quality" then we should really expect a phenomenal peace of glass indeed ... Hope they are right!

Tee1up: This is a pretty exciting camera. $1000 less than the D800 but still packing a great feature set.

...but only 24MP sensor ...hm that's pretty low for most sworn Nikon fans ....

The name K-5 II sounds suspiciously close to 5D MarkII at least ...and why not, this can be a good starting point for the new camera ;)

Jun2: People are so caught up 2X price tag of Canon and Nikon. As far as I know, if Canon update 135mm, the price will be near 2X of current price. It happen to 24-70mm Mark II comparing the Mark I.

the point is that the first generation of the Canon's 24-70 was not the most impressive peace of glass, where the existing Canon 135 f/2 is spectacular in every way and I think that one can hardly be improved further ... there is no need for that! The worst thing for this specific Carl Zeiss offer is that the latest 70-200 f/2.8 alternatives from Canon and Nikon cost the same, they are optically superb and conveniently flexible. Well, indeed they all had an maximum aperture of f/2.8, but the difference in the depth of field they produced doesn't look so vast at 135mm .... so tough call for the manual Carl Zeiss Apo Sonnar T* 2/135 I think !
