sirrah: Why do so many entrants to these competitions insist on winding up the colour saturation to the point where grass looks like engine coolant? It would be a great, and evocative, picture without resorting to this form of photographic hyperbole. Based on other photos of this location on google images the colours are not at all representative.

Thanks for the wonderful comment Martian !

hi sirrah ... you do not like some aspects of the image , that's fine ... however I find often that the raw images taken with most of the cameras does not represent the the reality even closer to the way our eyes see it ... agree ??? ... on top of that I like it slightly over saturated , and seems most of the viewers like it that way as well ...

User5129868396: Hi George, Great shot! Am from SA and have visited Drakensberg (Dragon's Mountain) many times. Your pic has prompted me to post for the first time on DP Review in order to acknowledge your talent, the outstanding website, and that it reflects something good in my country after all the bad stuff currently.

Hi my countryman ... glad to know that my photography can illustrates and present the awesome beauty of South Africa, which is as we know a complex set of races, cultures and consuetude . We all have to remind ourselves about the long road we have traveled after the bitter past .... whatever our future prospect displays, I firmly believe that in this country there are beauties standing always higher than everything else ... let people see them ........

Really nice work, and I guess that some of my images can be sold for at least $100 000 ...... and then resold for more if fall in the right hands .... investors wake up !
