  • From his site: "Basically, I want people to have the original-sized photo to enjoy! I know many other photographers disagree with me and they only want to share tiny images with huge watermarks...

  • Just wondering. It's seems to be the most wide/fast lens I can find through searching online. I would not mind a lens through adapter if there is a faster/wider lens available.
  • I got that special $200 deal from B&H for the 19mm & 30mm together. I haven't had much time to try out the 30mm but I was pleasantly surprised with the 19mm. It's great for a $100 lens.Here's a few...
  • OM-D is the nicest...with some big glass like the 75mm...
  • Replied in 5D vs. OM-D
Yeah, the positions and angle are bound to be different since I didn't happen to have a tripod handy. I crop a good amount of my 4/3 images to 3:2 because I prefer that aspect over 4:3. Must be to...
  • Replied in 5D vs. OM-D
I only tried the 50L F/1.2 on one occasion. I didn't do any comparisons but I was very impressed with the "look" of it wide open. I like shallow DOF :)

I would'nt call the Sigma Shitty. It's a very sharp lens wide open. When I had a 5DMII, I preferred it over the Canon 50mm f/1.4 quite a bit. Of course the Canon 50mm f/1.2 was a different story.

That is my thought as well. One of the biggest complaints I heard about m4/3 when I was researching purchasing into the system was the lack of shallow DOF. I thought this demonstrated you could get...
  • Replied in 5D vs. OM-D
I didn't know about the line-art hack until I just looked it up. Cool. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard for Olympus to add a peaking feature through firmware if it can already accomplish this...
  • Replied in 5D vs. OM-D
yeah, cheap but be careful about the shutter. The one I'm using has already had the shutter replaced and only has 8000 shots since then but with any 5D you buy on ebay, it's hard to know where it's...
  • Created discussion 5D vs. OM-D
I just recently acquired my first MFT camera, the OM-D E-M5 :) After a lot of valuable advice here regarding my lens choice and going back and forth a few times, I eventually decided to get a 25mm...
  • Thanks! some good advice from everyone all around. It looks like I overlooked the 25mm f/1.4 somehow. I'm going to pick that up. Maybe someday I'll play with one of the voigtlander f/.95(I'm...
  • Finally decided to go for a M43 system! The DSLR has been sitting on a shelf for months. The NEX I have is going on auction (I never fell in love with the NEX form-factor). So the OM-D E-M5 is...
