Not stinky no.  Don't know on being poisoness or not.  Never seen one before. With its color you could certainly think it could be.
  • Cracking is right!  Great shot.  Been looking at alternative lenses,  looked at some c mounts,  but didn't know enough to pull the trigger. Thanks for the info.  Ordered one of these up.

Oops,  missed that setting from the previous day.  Still pretty happy with the images though. It was a nice sunny day... Went on a hike today,  snapped a few pics.

I literally just got back from a hike using this pack. I love it.  Not too big, but can haul enough stuff for day hikes.  I am picky with packs, this one is comfortable and it just works.  +1 from me.
  • Took way to long, missed so many shots because of those direction cursors.
  • I came from Sony (NEX and RX series), I can never go back to not having a touch screen.  I don't think most people even realize how nice it is until you actually have one.  I could have lived ...

  • Replied in Salty
Here is a more natural look of the entire photo.  I like both quite a bit.  Sometimes I like unnatural, I was going for an abstract type photo.

  • "There are 7 billion humans on Earth. That’s quite a lot of people, but it’s nothing compared to ants. Current estimates assert that there are about 10 quadrillion ants on the planet. That’s ...

Thank you.  I think every image looks wider than it really is out there, it is the terrain.. or lack there of.
  • The island is 15 miles long, we are looking at the south end of the island.  It runs north and south, so this image doesn't show it's true size since it isn't broad side to it.  It is not very ...
  • Thanks Andrew.  Yeah, I agree.  Most of my shots from this night had foreground items.  But this one just gives a sense of scale and what it is really like out there, it is exactly what I was ...
  • Never have gotten in it.  People from the area used to go there all the time and take a float.  There was so much salt in the water, you couldn't sink.  Now with the salt mining that goes on, it ...

Thanks. It is a seasonal thing. The lake isn't deep and it is pretty big, so the levels fluctuate quit a bit. It is normal for the most part.
  • Replied in Mountain Goat?
You do nice job at it, he looks quite curious!
  • Replied in Mountain Goat?
Big Horn Sheep! Those are hard to come by, usually very "sheepish". Great image.
  • Replied in Antelope Island
Antelope Island is the largest Island in The Great Salt Lake (seen in the distance). The lake is pretty low prior to spring run off from the nearby mountains, exposing miles of Lake bed. There are ...

I did the same thing tonight.  One thing I love about m43, it is so easy to just take along just incase. Nice image, love the rays.
  • Really like the first two! The perspective is great in the first. It feels big. Nice work.
