thanks! I was surprised to see the old thread came back :p

If you must insist on the crop body - get a T4i. I like the DIGIC V files better.
Both 6D and 650D have usable jpg ooc, too.
My favorite lenses for portraits on 6D are EF 50/1.4 and 135 L.
-
I think Nikon has slightly better DX lenses (got excellent prime, too - 35/1.8 DX), problem is I don't like investing on DX lenses.
I use both Nikon and Canon, and I have used and tried many lenses...
-
The Zeiss is better, I'm sure - at more than twice the price of Canon but I prefer the one that I can focus easily ;)
-
@Petka - 135 DC is not bad, but it's a dated design too. It's more expensive than the Canon but has much more CA and so-so sharpness wideopen
-
Apparently this cameras is more about wow factor rather than IQ - which is important in 2013...
-
REally? consistent image? Funny, DPR's own raw and jpg comparison shows Canon G15, XZ2 being much more detailed at low iso...It's time the reviewer take a look at their own raw comparison LOL
-
If you use the comparison tool, I think you can see that D5200 beats D7000 already ;)
-
cool, silver star for an expensive compact with mushy images...
-
I checked your link - put on your glasses....
NEX-7 has the best micro contrast despite still using AA filter. D5200 is considerably softer than NEX-7 and D7100. Check other parts such as coins on...
-
yes, buy it if you can find one - unless you prefer to buy the overpriced version of it called T5i...
-
whoa, that should be bloody sharp with D7100 ;)
-
NIce shot,Jim! May I know what lens was used?
-
By omitting OLPF doesn't mean it's a bare sensor. Nikon still has to put optical IR filters on the sensor that will also keep the focusing distance the same as the rest of the cameras.
-
There is a lens issue - what I think interesting is that when I use DPR's RAW comparison, I can't help to notice that NEX-7 (at low iso) looks sharper and has better micro contrast than D7100....
-
135/2 L! At f/2.0 it has minimum CA, center is sharp with good contrast. At f/2.8~/5.6, it's very sharp!
My second favorite is the 200/2.8 L. It's too long for some, but it has probably the best...
-
...those who claim there is not much difference between D5200 and D7100 never really use AA-less cameras, I'm afraid. Use them in the field, don't just download the samples. Shoot in varying lights...
-
I had all three lenses you mentioned - but I sold the 70-200/4 IS and keep the 70-300 L and 135 L. Both are great on my 6D ;)
-
There should be a noticeable difference between D5200 and AA-less D7100 in term of resolution. If there wasn't, the only explanation is that the lens used is not capable of utilizing the smaller...
-
It should, but it's kinda old now ;)
I had this lens along with D2X, worked well but sold them when I got the D3 back in 2007.
