  • Many thanks for all the replies! I went through all suggestions and bought, well, a camera i think no one mentioned - an ME F. I will run a test film through it within the next few days but so far ...
  • Hello folks As i want to complete my migration to Pentax I have come down to film bodies. So which film body is your favourite and why? Any input will be much appreciated.
  • I'm a newcomer to Pentax, bought my first one - a k30 in may last year. Since then I've settled down with the k5iis and couldn't be happier. In the last three years i switched a lot of systems: ...

Eye-fi cards work on almost any camera whether it has a implemented menu option support or not. All you do with the mnu option is to keep wi-fi transfer off if not necessary. But builtin wi-fi is ...
  • I'm using a friends copy so cant comment on the price. It's softer than the m50 1.4 at any aperture (if you are familiar with that lens) and also the samyang 85mm is also rather sharper. The pentax ...

Debug mode gives a much larger range than +/-10. If i remember correctly on the k50 at least i think it was +/-100 where a value of +40 fixed my issues on that particular camera.
  • You've had a Jupiter 9 lens - nothing like the helios 40 which becomes very sharp stopped down to f4 or so. But in general, yes, soviet lenses are more interesting than good. East German Carl Zeiss ...
  • PS: I didn't keep the helios for long. Since your obviously comfortable with a manual lens just get the samyang 85mm - its a better lens and at the same or lower price brand new.
  • I've had theboriginal silver m39 thread helios 40. Its a very interesting lens whith very swirly bokeh. its not a bad lens but rather unique in rendering if you care for it. But for a go to ...
  • My standard zoom dilemma continues. Purely speeking of optics performance (not about zoom range, max aperture, size and weight etc., also not interested in any other lens suggestions) how would you ...
  • The grass in m43 land really isn't greener, shorter (pun intended), but not greener. m43 cameras and lenses are pretty nice, but at the end of the day, no matter what you spend on body and lenses ...

Seems you are right and there is no clear winner. So i guess there is also no way to go wrong with any of them, or is there. .. Is there, then, a lens that should be avoided?
  • There's the fl600r which approximates the flash you mention.
  • Tough choice. Since I've had all three, id probably opt for just the pro zoom, because: - its a great piece of glass - my copy of the 14-42 had noticeably softer corners hence not particularly good ...
  • I guess that sounds good then. Thanks for the replies. -- ** I usually post from my phone so please excuse any typos, inappropriate punctuation and capitalization, missing words and general lack of ...
  • Created discussions Best panny non 2.8 tele zoom?
Looking to complement the 14-45 with the best possible panny tele zoom apart from the 2.8 one. Im specifically looking for sharpness and clarity in the long end. So which one would you say it is?
  • What worries me is the 16-85 optics and if they come close to the 16-50 or not.
  • Created discussions standard zoom: 16-85 or 16-50?
I am looking for a high quality wr standard zoom and can't decide what to do. I've had the 16-50 and loved it but i developed back issues and sold it along with the 50-135 (probably the dumbest ...
  • Hey I used to have an em5 - nice camera, but i just love my k5iis for many reasons. If you dont care about video it has everything you will probably need. If you do care about video, wifi, swivel ...
