I try to get clips that I want to use correct in-camera so I can solely use LR4 for video editing. It does a pretty good job for all the basic stuff. But man, exporting a full-size file does take a...

The loaner camera Sony sent me when I was getting the sensor cleaning function repaired had a grip that was peeling. I understand how annoying it feels. However, if you use a half-case most of the...

Russell dug into the SAL8528 a lot a while back on his NEX. A very good budget lens that I think is as sharp as you'd ever need it at f/4. That's if you really need autofocus.
Otherwise, I'd...

Yep! I'm still trying to find time to review it, but so far it's turning in an excellent performance. Pretty heavy in aberrations at f/1.4, but it's more dependent on if you nail critical focus or...

Great shots Danny. Love those kingfishers.

Ah, was about to ask about that.
Nice shots!

Huh. Good eye. I didn't notice that until looking at 100%. They're both in focus enough for most uses, though.
I never said it was easy to manually focus action. But when you take into...

Not that hard. Just takes practice. Though, it's pretty difficult with CDAF lenses on the NEX-7. That's why I use MF Nikkors. :P

Gotta admit, the black lenses really do look good. So there IS that. ;)

Keep in mind that the FF NEX would be using these Touit lenses in crop mode anyway. To my knowledge these are APS-C designed, not FF.

All the time! With my 105mm macro. :) Every time I use it I'm reminded that I eventually need to get an actual tripod and (possibly) forgive Manfrotto for their craptacular QC that I was treated to...

There are different levels of peaking (low, mid, high), and the intensity is influenced by the review method used (viewfinder, LCD screen).
In general, a "low" peaking on the LCD screen looks...

Bingo. Yellow, white, or red, it's definitely the focus peaking feature.
To OP, if you choose, you can turn this (very helpful) function off in the menu.

Hmm. Pleasant surprise with the new Touit "only" for $900. I've put a pre-order in at Adorama and will give it the Durr treatment proper as soon as I get my hands on it. If I feel it significantly...

Good points brought up by all. Surprised to see this much discussion in under a day. :)

Per DPReview: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2013/05/02/sigma-usa-price-availability-60mm-f2p8-dn-art-for-sony-nex-micro-four-thirds-mirrorless-cameras
$239 brings it in as $40 more than the 19/30mm...

You state in the above sentence it's a Canon FD, but in the next paragraph you suggest it's a Canon FDn. There's a consensus on the forum that on NEX, the FD (not the FDn) performs a lot...

Great set, the lot of them, really! Only thing I might do is add a bit more contrast to #1. Seems flat compared to the rest. Wish we had more of those around here. :)

Yep, I thoroughly enjoy that lens for the times I need the compactness. At its price, it also provides one of the best values in the entire Series-E lineup (tied with the 100mm f/2.8).
A little...

Ditto. At the same token, if (when?) a FF NEX comes out with IBIS, Sony could probably afford to make lenses a bit cheaper and smaller.
Agreed, video excluded, OSS does nothing for something in...
