x 1.5 for the digital tel-converter function = 1651mm equivalent field of view :)

Basically the same for me. -1/3EV as well and Auto Shadow Control.

No, just regular continuous shooting.

Ah...I just take a LOT of shots. Set it on continuous, press the shutter and let her run! At Magee I took almost 3500 exposures in 10 days. I kept 483. Of the discards, most were either 1) empty...

I shoot birds in Program with iContrast and Auto Shadow Control, -1/3EV exposure compensation, and let the camera do its thing! Works astonishingly well.

At Magee, the long lens guys (and girls) are so focused on 1) the warblers, and 2) not getting pushed off the boardwalk with their whole rig by the birders, that they don't have time of pity me...

You are right. I forgot I zoomed back a bit to get more of the bird. That is still 1600+mm, when you do the crop factor math.

It is generally not quite that easy in Lightroom. The Auto Remove CA works pretty well for magenta and green CA, but not on "purple or yellow" fringing. (CA is a lens effect, part of the physics of...

This is the feeder station.
The branches near the feeder are attached to the deck.

Yes, well...squirrel proof in name at least :) or maybe that is :(
-
I built a new feeding station on the back deck, using natural branches surrounding a feeder poll and two squirrel proof feeders...fruit and nut seed mix and thistle...as well as a couple of suet...

24mm macro plus 1.5x digital tel-converter
Happy Easter!

Put the camera in Program mode.
Press the function button.
Scroll to the top of the function list and you will see the iContrast symbol. You have choices of Off, Auto, 200% and 400%. I use Auto....
