I use the yongnuo 622. It has all functions like E-TTL and works with on-camera flash settings.

Looks like corrupted rendered files. Try deleting those And render again.
Other possible solution: make new project and copy your current project into it.
It is FCP X problem, not the 5D...

Mine has 007..... and has now a shutterspeed of 1/16000. I'll wait for another week, I don't have f/8 lenses and I don't shoot in the dark.

The book from Klosterman I bought in the iTunes store helped me. It explains very well the settings that are also briefly mentioned in the manual. And specifically when to use them.

Agree, manual focus is not easy with the pancake. But with the fast autofocus on the 5DM3 it works like charm. And easy shooting from the hip.
