Mistake in the key specifications. Not "6-axis" , 16!.

Hen3ry: This focus on the EVF's "tearing" effect is ludicrous. Is if going to affect your photography 99% of the time? No!

So what’s the big deal? This is a reviewers' nitpick, something they are trying to hang their hat on because the camera is so darned good.

Where is the silent mode of the much lauded E-M5? How does it compare for size? What about its pop-up flash (reported here as flimsy -- ALL pop-up flashes of that type are flimsy, but it is way, way better than none at all!).

Then there is the nonsensical expectation that you should be able to see through the EVF with glasses. Come on!!! I've been photographing for 50 years with glasses, and I have NEVER had an eye level viewfinder that works with glasses! The glasses used to go into my pocket; nowadays, they!).

As for the necessity to have the optional eye cup for sans glasses viewfinding -- OF COURSE!! I have been using them on every camera I have had for 50 years. Literally.

Give the GX7 the gold it deserves.

Cheers, geoff

Tears, Jeff!

thx1138: Here is a hypothetical interview with Nikon:

Q: I see this camera uses a 16MP sensor, from the D4, so this must be a flagship sensor too.
A: No actually the sensors of the D610 and D800 are much better according to DxO
Q: Ah but this low res must allow this camera to shoot very fast, 10fps or better.
A: No, actually it shoots at 5.5fps slower than our D610
Q: Hmm, but it must have class leading shutter speed, 1/16000
A: No, actually it same as our entry level cameras at 1/4000
Q: Ummm, err, oh yeah, well it must have the flagship AF system right
A: No, actually it has same AF as D5300 and D610, middle of the road
Q: Ah, but it must have old school battery life and run forever out in the wilds
A: No, actually it has a very small battery with below average number of shots
Q: Well it must be very cheap then, cheaper than D610?
A: No, actually it is much dearer.
Q: Ok, then what is the point of this camera?
A: To get old farts to part with a lot of money to relive old time memories.

I think I already love D610.

They carefully avoid showing the base of the pentaprism. Maybe it is removable?

Come Oooon, Leica! Where is the GPS?! Where is the 5-axis image stabilization - the dream of all the pros in the world?! And no art filter?! (Olympus OM-D E-M5)
Where are the 23 scene modes?! ( Silky Skin, Sweet Child's Face, Romantic Sunset Glow, Appetizing Food, Cute Dessert - Panasonic GH3).
Why not 1200 fps/ 320x120 resolution slow motion?! Scene Auto Selector, Smart Photo Selector ( Nikon 1).
Where are the Creative styles like Sunset and Autumn Leaves?! Picture Effects like Toy Camera (5!!!), Retro and Pop Color ; Sweep Panorama, 3D(!) Sweep Panorama. Finally, where is the Smile Detection ?!! ( Sony NEX7, A77). Blink Detection, Fart Detection, Alcohol and Pregnancy Test Modes, Compass, Altimeter ...?
Shame on You, Leica! But I still love you! And will do so forever!
