wow, that was fast. I will certainly add another challenge and I've set it up with 5 for the entry limit, and then 12 hours into the challenge, I will change it to 50.
This will announce Nov 8th:
Repeat challenge Blue: Fish, flowers, eyes, jewels, jeans, birds, water, etc… but do not enter a nature photo that uses the sky as the blue element. The sky can be in the photo, but something else must be the point of interest and it should be blue.
The 1st challenge filled up in just a few hours. This one will open up with 5 as the limit for entries, and 12 hours after it has opened, I will set the limit to 50 to allow the other 1/2 of the planet a chance to enter.
Thank you , that's the way voting goes. But thanks for telling me. I appreciate it.
Simple and quite nice!! Congrats in the win!
I love the happy accident! Congrats on a win!!!
what a standout!!!! Congrats on a great entry taking the win here!
Wildbegonia: Great challenge, congrats to the host. There are great picks here, it is a good choice to limit the number of entries to 50, it will render the voting process more pleasant, allowing a fair and close look to each entry.
Thank you! I like 50 because it makes it manageable for me to look thru and decide if any really don't belong. It's always interesting to see the variety even in a challenge this simple. And I agree , there seem to be a good selection for voting. I'll be curious to see the winner here :)
love this look!! Great capture!!
Great lesson with that 10,000 ISO, and remarkable result. Congratulations on the win as well :)
That's just gorgeous and so well framed. Congratulations on the win!
this is the best!!!! what a perfect entry and a well composed photo too!congrats on that win!!
I really liked th Cheshire cat look. This got my top vote. Maybe the eye color contrast captured my eye. Nice entry!
Brendan J: Hi, tried to upload a great photo for this comp 24hrs ago, would not accept, said photo Queued, though was showing that one entry left. Came back to now and full. Not happy :(. Have a look in my gallery if you want to see my Castle between two trees. Regards, Brendan J
I think someone pulled an entry and shortly put something else in. The challenge was full further back than this. Sorry
A note from the host
I have received a wide variety of interpretation on this theme. Some are less traditional than I expected, some stretch the definition of "2" trees, but what we have is a 50 entry challenge with a nice mix of photo's to vote on and that's what makes challenges fun for us all.
Now it's up to the voters to choose what they like best.
A fly beating a seductive beauty! How about that... I like them both but I'm partial to insects, so congratulations!! Well done!!
The Mick: There were lots of great images in this competition! For me, the photos are the easy part and the voting gets tougher and tougher! So, hats off to all the awesome photographers out there for making the voters work so hard. Many thanks as well to the Host for doing what she does!Y'all take care,Mick
Thank you… it's hit or miss sometimes with challenges, but I agree, lot's of good photo's here :)
This is one of my favorites here!!
RuthC: Interesting and thought-provoking! I like it!
Thanks Ruth, I had tried a "framing" challenge with trees in mind but got completely different input - I hope this one has some interesting results :)
Rmano: Hi --- rules says as captured by camera, but then 1600px max size --- so it needs resizing. Or cropping. Or both. But I fear that you'll have to trust us, because resizing will be indistinguishable from cropping+resizing...
also, no comment on digital zoom to explain the moon, as I don't know about that and was just noticing the size of the thumbnail photos and saw 4 that don't match.
