Yes it's rare, just keep searching. There are 2 versions of it, the "C" for compact and the non compact lens which is 210mm in size with same 58mm filter. The non compact lens was the first version...

I read that too, now I'm not afraid to buy a lens with fungus since I'm more into manual lenses.
-
I would check the forum of mflenses.com, even it's not a manual lens. Once I saw a guy there who is repairing lenses and he posted links of hundreds of lenses how to repair them. Too bad I didn't...

Try to find a Yashica ML 300/5.6 C, I know not easy to find. Size is only 147.5mm long.

That's around 30 euro, Olympus Germany have it online for 79.90 euro ... crazy!!! But that's why I don't buy it now, need to wait till I'm in NY again in spring.
-
Yes, that sounds good Guy. Please name me an online shop where I can order it for $403. Thank you so much
-
Bought it today on ebay. The blades have little oil which doesn't matter to me. I will relube the lens depending how the focus ring is moving, that will be fun too.

Would like to see some indoor shots under the roof of that tower. Must be pretty cold there now. Till which temperature is the E-PL1 working?
-
Is that deal still available? Can I buy it online?

In 4:3 mode even the 2.7" EPL1 screen is bigger than the EPL5 ... LOL

WRONG, olympus repairs are expensive, they charge 158.05 euros in general for everything involved with the 14-42 lens. For that money you can buy a new lens and have a dinner. In Germany you can't...

There are 2 versions for the E-PL1, first the "ED" with metal mount, then the "L ED" with plastic mount. The "L ED" came with the E-PL1s, you can see it on this website.

The retail price in Europe is around 80 euros while in the US you get it for $49, that's less than half.
-
Bought an Helios 44-2 for 3.61 euro, bought it on Nov 27 so don't have it yet but looks good on the website.

An 8GB SD card is worthless in 2 years and nothing special. The Body Cap Lens is everything else. Hope Olympus produce more with different FL.
-
The mount cap for these plastic mounts is really trash, I never saw such poor quality, seems caveman engineered them. Olympus should not produce such weak plastic mounts. If they need to save money...

What I think? I bought a used cam with a double zoom kit, included the 40-150. It wasn't so expensive because the plastic mount of the 14-42 was broken. Emailed Olympus Germany how much it is to...
-
At least it has a metal mount and not some kind of Oly plastic. There is plastic and plastic, and when I compare Oly plastic with my first lens (Minolta MD 50/2.0) which was plastic too, it was...
-
From Oly there are even 4 versions, ED, L ED, II, II R. ED and L ED have the same shape ED with metal mount, L ED with plastic mount. This review might help you...
-
Yes, LensTip should always use the same body for testing, but they don't, when they test an Oly lens they lend a body from the local camera shop. Unbelievable, they put so much effort in these...
