It's always nice to have more choice.

>What kind of camera would you like Leica to make? Um, maybe affordable one? ;)

It is quite funny how people always complain. "We don't like Flickr interface, we like 500px", ok here you go and "We don't like new Flickr interface". I, for one, love the new look. Sure there...

@ChronoBodi Medium Format sensors use pretty old tech. Most of them can't even shoot above ISO 800. I'm afraid for the low light/high ISO shooting 35mm is the "sweet spot" right now.

I especially like that the goal with the S-system was to be 10 years ahead of the competitors. Fail!

Thing is, if you do the math you'll see that Airy disk already exceeding size of 2 pixels at f/8 for Nikon D800. So difference between 60MP and 40MP will not be so visible for 35mm. Of course Nikon...

Well, they might had "overwhelming" requests, but only to have option for subscription based model, not to throw away perpetual license completely.

as noirdesir said, square millimetre of chip is not really getting any cheaper. Biggest mass production silicon waffles now are 300mm. Intel is doing first steps to begin production of 450mm...

Well, you can't really talk about price until Sigma announces price for this lens.

What's wrong with "zooming with your feet" for video recording? There are a lot of camera stabilizers like glidecam. I think most creative videos I've seen were in move. Videos shot from one point...

"APS-C don't cut in the professional world" Why not? I've seen many photographers who prove otherwise. Bigger format DSLR may be better at wide angles than APS-C DSLR for some situations, but at...

You can also use UV filter on the lens :) . Wonder if UV light affects metering.
There are quite a lot of sunglasses with plastic or cheap glass lens on the market. Those will make things even...

I don't know.. printing 8x4.5m background from APS-C or even current FFs may be a little tricky. Has anyone tried it? I'm curios to know how good such prints will be.

@Emacs23 Xtrans does have slightly less red and blue resolution indeed, but it also has all 3 colors on each row, not 2 like in Bayer CFA. So far I've seen, X-Trans produced much (technically)...

Emacs23, Non-Bayer CFA produce more color artifacts only because software companies don't want to support them. If you use in-camera RAW converter there will not be any artifacts. And Bayer CFA is...

*sarcasm mode on* Yeah, and Hasselblad H5D-40 costs 6 times more than D800E (and shoots just 1.1 fps). Who in the right mind would want one of those? *sarcasm mode off* Come on, are you really that...

I have both K-5 and K-x. AF with Tamron 70-200 may not be the best I saw on my K-5, but quite good for most situations. Noisy as hell too, but I don't care :-)With K-x, however, it is too slow. I...

DA40XS has the same lens design as SMC DA 40mm F2.8 Limited, which in turn has the same design as old SMC Pentax-M 40mm F2.8.In fact many Pentax prime lenses have full frame coverage: DA 35mm F2.4...

Or you can still use just one battery. Or 6 AA batteries, or 6 AA batteries plus lithium. Based on my experience, 2 lithium batteries last very long, much more than 6 AA batteries plus lithium.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
