Sony already have an E-mount lens up to 210mm. And I don't really need a super telefoto, just something a bit more. Currently, I'm resorting to my Panasonic FZ-200.

But that doesn't have IS, does it?
I'm sure it works great for some people, but me holding a camera means earthquake on my hands... :D So IS is really preferred.
Thanks for the suggestion though....

LOL.
Anyway, are you suggesting using Canon/Nikon lenses, or switching to Canon/Nikon ecosystem? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with these inter-brand lens compatibilities.

I'm looking for a telefoto lens solution for my NEX (NEX-5R to be exact) without breaking the bank. Sony's own E-mount lenses have the SEL55210, but I'm looking for something that can go further. I...

Can the phone even play back the recorded 4k video?

"Impatient Android early adaptors can always manually check for operating system improvements in Settings->About->System Updates." That doesn't really do anything. It still depends if your device...

I saw that. It's very weird. Did Canon just have too many of the S95 sensors leftover or something? Plus the model numbering, S200, kinda makes it sounds like it's an upper end model compared to...

I have mixed feelings about these Canon. I like Canon cameras in general. Love my S100. I was hoping that the S120 would be priced more aggressively, although I guess Canon can still get away with...

Wow, I thought mine was just spastic. Yes, I have the same issue. I have a feeling it's due to the scroll wheel. During shooting, it can be maddening when you try to pick a focus point and the...

I really need to learn some zen technique or something to keep my hand stable. :)

Wow, your pictures are amazing!
When shooting handheld, what shutter speed do you usually use?

I want to ask those using the Olympus micro four thirds about its image stabilization feature when using it handheld. How do you feel about it? I have the E-PL5, and many times it seems it's not...

No image stabilization even at that price? I mean considering its usage, IMO some sort of image stabilization is a must. I do like the concept. I've been thinking of wearing one of those Sony...

I would think for a lay person, it would be Sony or Olympus. Sony is well known due to other products, and I see people actually recognizing Olympus for mid-range point-n-shoot and water proof...

Try P (Program) mode. In P mode, the camera still sets everything automatically, but you can take control on certain things, like focus point, when you need to.

Just a general comment as I am not a pro photographer, but I have used the FZ200. The zoom flexibility is great, and the f2.8 is awesome. However, do keep in mind that it is a small sensor. The...
