Crotonmark: I am a total DSLR newbie. I am considering this camera or the Canon 60D for my first DSLR. I have two old EF lenses from an EOS 10S so I thought it made sense to stay with Canon (i have a 50mm 1.8 and a 35-105 3.5-4.5)

I want to shoot nature and the occasional sports as well as traditional family pictures.

Does the new T4i sound like a better buy than the 60D?
Is it worth staying with Canon?

Thank you for your patience.

Well I am back.
I am thinking of getting the kit with the 18-135mm STM lens. Anyone think I am making a huge mistake?

What do you think of the quality of the kit lens you mentiones? does it have IS so I can use it for video without a tripod?

thanks all - anything cheaper than the EF-S 15-85 IS as a match for the 650D or the 600D?

Klipsi - Is this not being a Full Frame camera an good thing or a bad thing? why do you recommend this over the 60D? Will this be good for shooting sports?
thanks for the lens recommendations - at this point I am not able to get the $500 18-35 STM lens.
do you think my old lenses are any good?
