Yes the fz1000 can be tack sharp. For reference, the fz200 was very sharp but when you get it right with the fz1000, it is definitely sharper than the fz200. Anyway just my personal experience with ...
  • Created discussions Print question - canon printer
I'll start with I have a Canon pixma pro 100 and I use Lightroom for editing. Is there an easy way to take one photo and have it print in a way so that the image gets split it into multiple ...

Interesting...the fz200 was definitely sharp but I've been getting sharper images with my fz1000. I did lens tests and ISO noise test comparing the two cameras way back when I got the fz1000 and ...

I read your comment but I'm a bit confused by one part. Are you saying that the fz200 produces a sharper image with less noise and richer colours?

The fz200 was arguably the best in class (superzoom) for its day and it is still good for its price. What class is the fz1000 in? I though it was part of the superzoom class.
  • I never said the camera can't capture a good photo or that people don't enjoy using the camera. I merely stated that it has limitations. I've also acknowledged that at base ISO, 13" x 19" prints ...

What the heck do my own images have to do with the fz200 having limitations due to it's components. Sheesh Ok so you're agreeing that highlight blowout happens and is more common on smaller ...

I just read roxy1945 response to you. Wow, what an ignorant, arrogant piece or work. He claims he can take criticism but just not from those that he feels superior to. It would seem that he feels ...

Why do I need to show you or others online, my images? I routinely show others in person and get feedback. I never said the camera can't take a good photo....I have many (shot at base ISO). I'm ...

Ignorant.... you claim that your images are noise free and free of highlight blowout and then when it becomes blatantly obvious that your images are full of terrible noise, you then try to dismiss ...

Since you asked me to check your photos, I decided to check out 3 random photos in your galleries. In the small view they look fine but when I clicked on each of them, glaring issues stood out. ...

Irrelevant. I own the fz200 and I have taken some excellent photos with it and have made a number of prints from my fz200 images. That being said, it doesn't change the fact that the camera has the ...

I had missed many shots of wildlife due to the slow autofocus and focus hunting. Granted the focus hunting was not common but it was frustrating when it did occur. Also the slow autofocus was more ...
  • If a new updated version of the fz200 were to be coming out, I'd guess that an announcement would come at some point in the summer time. The fz200 was announced July 18, 2012 and the fz1000 was ...

Well if one likes noisy shots, very limited ISO performance, slow autofocus, and the usual highlight blowout thanks to limited dynamic range then yes, it could be viewed as perfection.
  • The read, write speeds are more than fast enough. I just don't know that brand. I personally stick to SanDisk and Kingston as I know they're reputable and produce good quality. I've never had any ...
  • You might not need to order a u3 card. U3 cards are being recommended due to their higher read, write speeds. The thing is though that some non u3 cards have fast enough read, write speeds that ...
