SETI: I had 4 Pentax cameras and had problems with 3 of them. Great system but bad QC

Yes--I see--I am against the poor QC of camera companies--Why Customers should get advisory notices? Is it a positive symptom? After getting Gold rating from DPR some cameras shows flare issues---Why?QC of DPR has also gone down or no such equipments to test?Remember DPR yet to publish NIKON 810 review!

mayurgogoi: Just 2-3 days ago I have read an advisory warning--"New Nikon D750 service advisory: possible image shading from shutter""--published in various web site--just on 9th JUly,2015--these advisory warnings are becoming a fashion now!Nikon D750 had many complains and now again such notice are on the web!!Now advisory warnings from Pentax???

Well--what hell is going on in camera Industries?Nikon, Canon and now Pentax has down in its quality maintenance---

why today camera companies are so careless? After Paying a huge sum of investments no one willing to get such awkward situation---I totally dislike it!We feel insecure while buying a product though it may be Nikon,Canon or Pentax etc....

Quality control should be strictly followed because to get service many not be so easy as we think and it is still a headache in 3rd world or developmental countries.

This is like we are on an unsteady Ship in deep Sea!

Sending to Service centres and receiving ,complaining, requesting to send quickly--these process are easy or cumbersome?

I agree Smitty1-that camera companies are not like cars that hidden something--What I remember reputed car company like Honda also fought with such situations due to defective air bags!

Once when my Sony camera gone for service centre and they did the service and too the money to check the circuit and gave me the skeleton in worst condition!

Such situation may not be true in all places, all countries--but occurs!Servicing centres are available--but in name, not in work--Bangaluru Service Centre of Nikon could not remove the sand particles, but New Delhi did! But to get this New Delhi you have to spend heavy sum--or by Air or by Train and so spend time too!I have to leave my office too!

once 2 yrs ago Delhi based master level 4 service centre of Canon could not search the address of Guwahati Service(my province)--you can not send your camera directly to Canon and they will send the serviced camera to some pick up centres! If your luck does not well-cam can be broken!

BigOne: And another thing. This law, if passed, can be used as a censorship instrument.

Example 1. A(n) (Italian) government official accepting a bribe photographed next to a "copyrighted" palace. Publishing it in a newspaper will require a permission.

Example 2. Police brutality in the streets of a country's capital. Again, you'll need permission to publish the photo.

And OH, YES, they WILL use it that way. The very core of this law is limiting free photography. Everything else is just BS to cover it.

Yes---If general public can not click Eiffel Tower--let public should not go there!Photo is a medium to collect some memories--For me to visit Eiffel Tower will be a life time memory forever--if it is banned due to lob ism--or for one party--people can not feel the history but will feel the materialistic business--then it will be total nonsense--!EU should respect peoples freedom--but it is also true there are some restricted places which are not allowed for only security reasons---that is another thing!

mayurgogoi: A good move by Sony. I think many photographers will zoom for Sony a7RII.Because of its technological advances.I have dreamt for CANON EOS MARK IV ,but now I dream a mirrorless from Sony--may be Sony a7s mark II.

Sonya7RMark II is advantagious-1)Light 2)Resolution and Back illuminated Sensor-- 3)High ISO and Dynamic range--ISOs may not be at par with a7s ,but it will be very good.Canon or Nikon is behind than Sony--one day these companies will only make lenses, not camera!!!Nikon has started a Nikon adapter for Sony!!!(Rumours)

But it is true the mirror less view finders are not as good as non mirrorless Full frames.

I dream the sensor technology will one day give sights to blind people--the bio-chips or back -illuminated sensors will be implanted on the retinas of Blind people and sensors will give sense to brains--Sony should come forward--it is my request to Sony--Now Brain port V100 ALLOWS blind people to process the images through tongue.

Brainport V100 is an example only--Dpreview Readers can also add their ideas--Sony is world leader ,but they will be leaders for blind people--we want through Sony Sensing devices Blind people can see one day!Just put a micro camera system inside eyes of blind people and connect with brain!

Thank you for your reply--May be you are true in some cases! But pl go through above samples in DPR-I observed all pictures very carefully--I find skin tones ++++ and detail are very nice-May I assume that DPR has been using same setting or same pics style then?Let DPR should clarify--then only we will be more happy!Have a very nice day!

I too find little dark!I find Fuji XT10 gives very nice detail--but JPEG should be little bright--straight from camera!Frequent compensation for brightness of the pictures will be cumbersome--hope through form ware this particular problem will be overcomed! We do not want dark pictures in next FUJIXPRO-2 or XT2!

Now mirrorless market has been going very compititive;Sony a7s is very promising except some Autofocus issues. We want more iso and dynamic range improvements in FUJI.
