Good for you Forrest! The least we can say is that this photographer has a message, per definition. Many 'gear heads' on this forum take and post 'empty' pictures showing off their newest lens or...

The specs here are amazing! It seems Sony hit the right spot: sound OK, ND filter OK, many buttons OK. I'm pleasantly surprised that Sony seems to super charge their new Vegas Pro software, and...

When the tone of an article is negative, Connect uses the term 'smartphone'; when the tone of an article is positive, Connect uses the term 'iPhone'. That is my observation. As for the snapshot...

Pfffft, my Nikon V1 can do 4K raw video out of the box, without hacking. (Limited to 30 frames per shot). At € 248, kit lens included.

My advice is to start your own 'passion project'. Find a theme, topic and then go at it for a longer period of time (I'd say at least a year). This will make you much more 'mindful and focused'...

Placed 35th in the challenge. She's my daughter... what else is there to say.

Placed 50th in the challenge. A little bit of spot metering with the cult-classic LX3. Love those Panasonic jpegs and the Leica lens. Picture was taken in Bellewaerde Theme Park, near Ypres, Belgium. The waterfall is fake and the rocks are canvas.

Very impressive, but not entirely new: the Nikon 1 cameras use a similar technology (with a limited number of AF pixels in the sensor). Still, if this works with some fast lenses (f1.4), it is...

What a smart idea! Turning a 800 euro smartphone into an action cam. Oh yeah!

Adobe's pricing is cunningly misleading: what if, after a future 'upgrade' of the cloud software, your hardware no longer has enough power to run it? Is Adobe going to upgrade our hardware too, for...

I have come to the same conclusion. I do feel that their pricing is way to high.

I meant Photoshop Elements.

Btw, corporate rip off! Opensource servers will be very busy in the months to come!
-
Not a word about Photoshop Elements, which I own and like. Does anybody at Adobe care about us to fill us in?
-
Yep, I like Photoshop a lot. It can do a lot more than exposure and contrast adjustment. Dpreview should take a closer look at it before writing such a deregatory comment.

I too am very impressed by these specs. The GH3 has a stronger body, but the G6, at this price, is a very powerful tool indeed. Love the video specs, by the way!

So glad dpreview is reminding us on a weekly basis that one can only make artistic photos with an iPhone! plug plug plug

I like this because it shows the reality of street life. What I like less: 1) some subjects are missing their feet due to bad framing 2) the reflection of the flash on walls and glass I consider...

I'm considering the video mode only. Put an adapter ring on the GH3, and you get access to Canon, Nikon, vintage lenses...
