Carl bcn: Since october they have been saying that the update to version 7 would be free for anyone who had paid for Exposure 6 (via purchase or upgrade from june 10th). But this press release says nothing about upgrades, and while I did upgrade to Exposure 6 and paid for such upgrade, I have not received any free upgrade to Exposure 7. I emailed them at support yesterday, but no reply so far.

Anybody in a similar situation? Thanks.

Hi Carl bcn, glad to her you will get your upgrade. All sounds very confusing ! But I guess the usual practice for software is to pay for each upgrade but a consesion is given to recent buyers of the full version. Sounds like they need to make themselves much clearer.

"Exposure 7 is available for download now. Anyone who bought Exposure 6 since its launch in June this year can upgrade to version 7 for free" Just read above where it says Press Release.

In a further BBC Radio interview today the photographer went head to head with a woman from Wiki. The photographer was highlighting the plight of monkeys being killed for bush meat, when the camera grab took place. Subsequently he set up his camera on a tripod and set exposure etc., to allow the monkeys to take selfies. The Wiki rep claimed free use as US law applies but the photographer is British and is claiming UK law should apply. I guess that would depend on where he posted on Wiki from.

Dave Braun: Just heard the photographer interviewed on BBC Radio 2 news. He considers the monkey as like his assistant. So under the law the work of the assistant belongs to the photographer !

Well he could be his assistant. Photographers sometimes treat their assistants like monkeys and pay them peanuts !

There is a mistake in this ! In the DP Review intro it says integrates with Photoshop Elements but under Host Requirements in the press release there is no mention of Elements.

Not mentioned here is an update for Elements and Premier Elements. I have just updated both. Organiser and editor open much faster.
