Devotion is the entry ticket to His Consciousness...
MarioSS: Nice sharp image, good composition, and exposure. Appropriate choice of shallow depth-of-field. Could have been a winner even if more than 100 entries.
Thanks. Nice comment!
Very nice image and light
I like this image a lot
There are some very good shots in this challenge who deserve the top place.
For me, this image is nothing special (not sharp and poor editing), anyway not in my 15 to 20 best, more towards 80 to 100.
Shot at 1/15 sec?! not enough to do sharp images. The photographer is teaching photography? Wow! Sure is, this image would never pass quality control in any agency I work with.
The majority of the 11 votes top votes seem way off the graph?!
Is it Mt Kailash parikrama?
Werli Francois: Looks like some unsuccessful sandbaggers have successfully added karma to their existing one...
It is my favorite candid portrait, taken the day I was trying a 300 mm for the first time.
3 voters have given the image 0,5 and 2 more voters a 1 rating. 0,5 is normally given to images not respecting the rules or out of the subject of the challenge and 1 should be given if the image is really bad.Well, I think those votes were given for the sole purpose to downgrade the image as I guess they thought "that image could win, but I want mine to win". Nothing new on DPR.
When I wrote the comment, I was in funny mood, like the peaceful witness of the same repeating farce.
"unsuccessful sandbaggers", because his/their image/s did not win, sandbagging the image did not bring the expected result.
At the same time, the lack of awareness of the cheater/s and his/their needs of "what ever he/they think to need to be happy" creates just more unawareness to his/their already existing unawareness, "have successfully added karma to their existing one".
Waking up is a long and painful process, so it feels often easier to remain asleep.

Last year I posted a similar image in a challenge. It finished second but I withdraw it because it was sandbagged. Some may remember the image from the previous challenge and I expected complains as it would not have respected the rules: "Please submit only images that have not been used in a DP challenge in the past few years".I have added the previous submitted image in my gallery. Similar but not the same, even if taken in the same second! Thank you.
