I second motion Quistgaards post about small grip. I tried the D800 two weeks ago, and its small. Smaller than the D700. We might see some 3rd party ekstra grips appear once its out.
Upadhya: The ISO capability of the D800 looks to be very much same as the D700. Will the new 36MP sensor have any negative/positive impact on the ISO handling? Any thoughts?
Hi UpadhyaI had a chance to see some 100% jpg crops of a 6400 ISO image yesterday from the D800. Not perfect, but very close. its better than the already great D3 in high iso performance. And this was not even a raw file. So initially I would be very excited. Downside (Personal Liking) is only the smaller size camera. Big hands = cramped feeling.
Having had Nikon for 4 years (Nikon D3) and eagerly waiting for what Nikon comes with soon, I find that this is the most clever move Canon could make. What a perfect camera. I would switch today, if I had the $. No need for more than 18mp yet a ton of super powerful wellthought of featuers... If you want more pixels, then go middle format, to properly gain the missing details your wanting. Well done Canon... What will Nikon do, and when?
