  • Well in my opinion, Pentax is strong in APS-C and I think it will be for quite some time. I think the line up right now for the most part is doing great and I don't remember when we had 4 bodies ...
  • I think I read it in other posts here that he was just a guest so I assume that he would not have had assistants to set up or strobes pre positioned in place.
  • "Literally, there was no time to think things through because of the way the couple moved in response to the first presenter." I think that says it all. I smile to see what others say "Well, they ...
  • I agree with you 100% and think that all cameras, even pro bodies should still have an on board. Why ? Because for those moments where you cant set up with an external, or a reflector or tell ...
  • .... But it is a very sharp lens. For the size, weight and price, it is a great lens. It spends a lot of time .on my cam for walk arounds.
  • Replied in K3 or K3ii
I have been considering upgrading for some time, not becasue I dont like my K-30, it has just been almost 3 years and I am urning for a pro body. I am interested to see how the K-3II looks before ...
  • Doesn't the Nikon D810 have an onboard flash ? I would consider that to be a pro body and the K-3 is semi-pro at best. I wish they could have included al things to everyone and wonder how many will ...
  • Replied in Maybe
I was thinking the same thing, and would not be surprised. But the K-3II is to be shipping in May and the FF is not expected til October.
  • From what I have read from the new FF lens evaluators, who also has enough to know about the specs of the FF camera, this is going to be a Pro level camera at an APSC price. Obviously we will see ...
  • I have the 18-55WR, which is actually a really good lens for being a kit lens, read Pentax Forum to see a review of this lens, a 50-200 and a Tammy 18-200. First things first, if it was me, I would ...
  • FF1, not K-FF1 ? Does the FF have the new lens included in kit for the $1900 price ?
  • No Dean, the K-30 has a pentaprism. I think all Pentax cameras from the K-30 on have had pentaprism.
  • Yeah, I was the same when I first got my KX. I saw dust, thought I would take out the screen, can't be too hard, and I took it out. Well, it wasn't hard but I just barely scraped a fingernail ...
  • I have the 18-55WR and feel that it is a much underappreciated lens for a "Kit" lens. I am quite happy with it. The price is right too. :) If it were me, I would condirer the 18-50 for the DC ...
  • Yes, it seems similar in ways to my K-30. Sometimes it hits focus rather quickly and accurately when I am surprised that it did it. Just must be a light/color combination that doesn't work well in ...
  • Wow, I am sure that took alot of work. Did you do this to removve fungus and haze ? I have seen a couple of EBay lenses that are very cheap due to fungus and I have debated to take a chance and ...
  • I had a K-X preveiously and now have a K-30. I use the AA asapter 90% of the time even though I do have a lithium. It may be a little heavier but the Eneloops  work better to me.
  • Replied in K5 used or....
I would look for a K-5IIS instead of a K-5. The K-5 was a great camera in it's day but it was upgraded to a K-5II/S for a reason.
  • Impressive
  • Though not WR, I have a Metz 52 for my K-30 and it is a great flash, espesially for the price.
