    Excellent!

Excellent! How long before the change takes effect? The ISO 1600 images are still missing in the drop downs.

So this would have a small amount of digital zoom applied? Do you recall the distance from the subject?

The ISO 1600 studio shots seem to be missing (RAW & JPEG)

That was a SPAM post, ignore it.
  • I've used the micro SD cards with an SD adapter in my PowerShot cameras with no problems, it behaves just like a normal SD card. Depending on the camera, it will format them as FAT or FAT32. I...
  • We're talking about lens correction profiles that get installed on the camera via the EOS Utility and are used by the camera at the time of capture. I doubt LR4 can load any profiles no matter how...
  • My guess is you're running a down level version of the EOS Utility, my version (2.13.10) shows your lens in the database, but I was using my 7D to test this.
  • Have you tried installing the older software via the compatibility wizard? If you own a Rebel that supports liveview then you will see what you are shooting in real time.
  • Yeah, I bought the license quite awhile ago for Faststone, thought the developer certainly has earned his keep.
  • Replied in Custom WB
Why are you using sunlit grass to establish a custom WB? I'd be using a white target to set WB before mounting the IR filter, at least to start with. But I've never tried this so maybe none of what...
  • I use DPP for processing RAW files for export, Faststone for sharpening and lighting adjustments, and PSE for the few occasions when the first two don't work.
  • I shoot a lot of JPEG with my G15, and for the same reasons. I haven't done much video with the G15 but feedback on the forums seems to be generally positive. Macro capability is excellent and with...
  • I was comparing AI Focus AF and AI Servo AF. In practice I shoot almost 99% of the time in One Shot AF.
  • Until the paint wears off.
  • Replied in Fill Flash
Yes, I know you didn't use flash. I'm saying you should try to learn how use the flash in situations like this.
  • Okay, I understand now. I would rely on the highlight warning indicator myself thinking it would be an accurate representation of the actual recorded exposure.
  • Replied in Super!
Personally, I was happy to see the SuperFine option on the G15. The G10 has three (normal, fine, and superfine) and the difference is easier to see with the 14.7MP sensor and weaker AA filter. And...
  • I'm positive the lug on the left side (viewed from the back) is metal, some of the finish has already worn off on mine and it most definitely looks like metal underneath. My guess is the other lug...
  • Are you referring to the flashing areas on an image after the capture warning of clipping or something else? I find the G15 is better at metering than my G10 but it still requires due diligence in...
