ljmac: I can't think of a better advertisement for gun control than the first photograph. I can't think of a better advertisement for birth control either.
Yes and as we all know, BB guns are the recommended form of pest control. LOL
ClickBoom: Good, thought provoking, photojournalism. He is not glamorizing them just presenting his take on their small part of human society.
I happen to be a photographer and a mixed race person.
I think that it is valuable work to document their existence and way of life. They do exist and as they do, it is better that we understand them and their reasons for being a member of such an organization.
Capturing events as they happen is part of photojournalism. We are used to seeing all sorts of terrible images from wars and revolutions around the world.
This mixed race photographer is well aware of what that organization would make of me.
Sorry for replying to myself I just wrote a reply to a comment that was removed and I don't want to wast most of my reply.

I actually like Pond/moonlight though I wouldn't pay the asking price
I really like the colors and contrasting subjects in this image, beautiful ugliness.I just downloaded the large version resized it to 20” x 26.67” and printed a letter sized (8.5” x 11”) portion. It was fine, I'm almost sure that I can live with this sensor for my carry everywhere camera now.
I want one!
Come on the rest of it should be gold plated and Sigma in diamonds. Finally a camera that matches my leopard skin suit
Love this shot
wavrydr: I think this site needs to find a new editor if they plan to be a news outlet for camera tech. Dpreview has an unmatched database and comparison shopping guide, but their news reporting is lackluster at best. They consistently miss or simply do not report on significant news in the world cameras and camera technology. Instead of wasting time on fluff pieces like this they should actually do some research and write about news worthy articles. For example, the camera industry is moving towards mirror-less SLR cameras. Why not use all the camera brain power they can conjure up and write a unique piece on that idea. I recently read an article about a company making a camera that will allow you choose the focus point in the photo after the photo is taken.
Bottom line, this is great site, but the news here is a waste of time really. They rarely update it and when they do it's nothing special that you couldn't find by reading gizmodo or any of the other tech blogs.
I enjoyed this fluff
Jeff Peterman: The key thing will be the camera's low light performance. I see it as a potential competitor for the G12/S95 range. If the image quality can match, AND it has better lenses (fast, with good optics) it could be an interesting camera.
Note that I may be one of the few who remembers the Pentax compact 110-film SLR. Yes, it was limited by the image quality from the 110 film (probably about the size of the sensor in this camera!), but the control options and lens options made it very interesting for somethat that small.
Loved that camera (110 SLR), wouldnt mind one just to collect dust. So it fits in with the brand DNA
Great capture, good eye, beautiful scene.
Realy cool and original.
LLLLLLLLLove it yellow against blue, greattiming too, nice double act
