Replied in G1 X ... The sensor race ...
Canon has ensured that the G1X will have plenty of room for growth. They will add features that are just sweet enough to keep some of us buying the next and "improved" version. The G3X, for...

Replied in Speedlite flash
My opinion:
The less flash the better, especially indoors! About the only time I think about flash is when outdoors on a sunny day & shooting portraits/people, just to light up the shaded part of...

Replied in How about low ISO?
"Okay, it is good at high ISO, but what happen to the soft IQ overall even at low ISO?"
Though I disagree that the results are "soft" I must point out that Canon, in almost all their digital...

Fibers on the mouse are not even "clear" @ ISO 100, but it's either the type of fabric used or focus in that area is a little off. Regardless, the processor MUST deal with the noise produced by...

A G1X with all of these features (in it's first iteration) would make all of those Rebels, T2's, etc a lot less needed! Lol. It'll take Canon a few years (say, G3X?) before they give us the juicy...

X-10 and G1X? Apples and oranges, at least in terms of IQ, due to the large sensor size variance... but if the last 8x10 u printed and placed on a wall was more than, say, a year or two ago, then...

These results, though further analysis is needed, are fantastic, in my opinion! Now give us quick focus, and fast shot to shot times Canon and u have a buyer in waiting. Though next years likely...

The reason DPR is "flooding us with updates" is merely because we expect them too!! All one needs to do is check within the various forums to see the pressure that must be felt by DPR and others in...

Commented on CES 2012: Lytro Photowalk article
There's always a need for convinience and options, e.g. where to focus AFTER the fact. What remains to be seen is whether it's implementation will be correct for current market conditions... and...

Commented on CES 2012: Hands on with Canon PowerShot G1X and Nikon D4 article
This is the first iteration of this unit. Every year will likely bring something more to this camera, as is usually the case. Perhaps next year we'll see 24mm lens, maybe a larger screen, or other...

Commented on Kodak announces Easyshare M750 Wi-Fi compact alongside other cameras news story
The colour that I got from an older DX6440 from Kodac has still to be matched by any other camera that I have owened, incl. a couple of DSLR's! If only they got everything else in order (and I hope...

Couldnt agree more-24mm is a must... A manual zoom lens (X-10 like) would also be nice, but Canon has always done it this way. One feature at the time. If they gave us all we are asking, who would...

Replied in G1X...pre-orders...are you game ?
Fuji will be issuing a F/W fix for the orb's, as they have announced, so you may not have to live with them for long ;)

Replied in What about a usable VF ?
I doubt that an f/2 to f/2.8 is possible for that span (24-100mm) but it sure sounds juicy, lol. I'm still looking so I can only hope. One thing is for sure: I'll be selling my 30D soon.
