Sony has a decent 35mm f1.8 prime too. Can't see the point of a much more expensive f2.8 alternative.
-
Pentax managed to formulate a 21mm for their APS sized cameras.

I have a GX1 and like it, although I find the sensor dynamic range noticeably poor. Disappointing that Panasonic continue to use this same sensor for another year - even though they have better...

I switched from iPhone to Note II and I love the phone. Samsung doesn't seem to do as good a job in colour balance as Apple, I have to say. Some of the brighter greens/reds can look a bit too...

So is Canon going to leave us dangling with just a single pancake lens in the lineup (and 40mm isn't a great length for APS-C)? I guess you're expected to slap one of Canon's traditional big-ass...

Agreed. The 40mm f2.8 is a cool little lens (I just bought it). If Canon could make a 21mm or 24mm pancake to partner it, then I'd look seriously at selling my m43 gear and getting the 100D!

As a GX1 owner, I agree. I was hoping for a lot more from the GH3 - as it is, the dynamic range and sharpness both disappoint. If it weren't for the large and poor lenses, I'd jump to NEX in a flash.
-
200 questions? Yeah... screw that.
-
The grass is always greener... As a long time Canon user, I'm disappointed that Canon continues to produce ever more obscure and expensive lenses, while Nikon has done a very nice refresh of their...

You should look at Lenovo's tablets. They're integrating the same Wacom stylus... but they're not Wacom. I'd trust Lenovo more than Wacom to build a decent tablet!
-
Apple will never support a proper pressure sensitive pen... so what are you going to do? Android/Windows 8 are definitely good enough to run editing apps... and with wacom+HD display they make a...

Hubert - as a recent iPhone to Android switcher (Galaxy Note II), I'm also interested in reading about Android on this web site. Problem is that (as Lars points out) the Android photo community is...

A feature no-one needs, paid for with poor picture quality. This will always have 10x lower resolution than a normal camera. Not good.
-
And this is why I'll end up selling my 5DII and going Nikon. These lenses are 2x the price they should be.
-
I wasn't sure whether you were serious until you mentioned the Hasselblad. Now I know you're not! :D
-
It doesn't need to predict future frames. In post-processing, you get to look ahead in the data file! That's why there's an analysis phase in something like Final Cut.
-
The 2.7k mode sound interesting. I guess this gives enough latitude around the image to allow shake reduction in post processing - and still wind up with 1080!
-
This concept sucks and will always suck. You trade resolution, noise and dynamic range performance off for this post-shot focussing gimmick. They're never going to resolve that issue, because...

Seems like a good addition to the standard. I often shoot 15GB of pictures in a half day, and I don't like deleting images. If I could tell Lightroom to re-compress any image that didn't make at...
