Octane: how much is Nik software paying to get featured here for every little update or other minor thing they do?

There are so many really good an interesting software packages related to photography that never even get mentioned here, but Nik software gets in the news her on a regular basis.

+1 ! This whole rat race is getting out of control .. All we need is LR4 and Aperture 4

Im not sure what are we comparing here, but it looks very much apples and oranges. Why ?

Best results in raw with many built-in lens / small chip cameras tested here, are obtained if shot studio or outside as :

1. In the sweet spot of lens
2. NOT at the tele end
3. Processed with a well tuned demosaic algorithm, eg Aperture 3

So when i look how good iso100-400 LX5 is sitting next ot to the EP3, NEX5, X100 etc - and others tested above, i start wondering - what if LX5 was compared at the 24 - 50mm and not at the 90mm ? What if it was shot at f2.0 - f.4 and not at f4.5 as here (my tests confirm sharpest apertures to be f2.0 - f3.5) ? What if raw files were processed in Aperture 3?

Just wondering how will all stack up then against the big guns with bigger sensors and everything else ?
