Also remember.... To take a grey card so you can correctly set the White Balance otherwise, you will end up with wrong colour for snow, or, shoot RAW. Then adjust afterwards.Have fun....

Try either SB600 of SB800.I use two of each with my D90 with excellent results. If you can, get the SB800 it's a superb flash.

I don't have the same lens but think the Nikon TCs will only work on Nikon lenses. I am waiting for delivery of a Nikon TC-20e III and know there is a limited number of lenses they work with.
