Phil of Cilcain: The only 'real' premium superzoom camera was the Panasonic DMC-FZ200? Did someone forget the Fuji X-S1? With its manual zoom its a classic.
Yep, indeed - if I hadn't of bought the FZ200 the Fuji was next on my list!
Just spent 3 months in Australia and have had the chance to use my camera far more than usual.
Go out and try to photo something you don't normally do...I tried whale watching, very tricky taking photos in the swell of the sea...I went to a reptile centre - tricky indoor shots with tungsten lights and really bright direct sunlight outside...took a ohoto walk with a local photography group to try street photography...took a few landscapes and some pelicans...caught the fleet review in Sydney Harbour so lots of helicopters and ships and finally, did my first studio model shoot with a local photography group!
It really keeps you active and you need to be thinking all the time to get the right shot, the right speed, the right aperture, the right exposure, whether better with or without a polarizing filter, does it need flash? Excellent stuff.
So go out and photograph something you've not tried before. You'll be all the better for it!
