    Really? That "bog standard" zoom may have similar focal length and aperture to a standard "Kit zoom", but it is vastly superior in optical quality at all apertures and focal lengths.

  • Take the Leica, you will not be sorry.  Don't be afraid to let the ISO soar.  At 6400 and 28mm at f/3.5 it will likely do as well as or better than the RX100 at 800 and f/1.8.
