haholien: Hi,

My submission was disqualified. I do not understand why...

Which part of the rules do you believe I broke?
It was cropped and exp adjusted in LR.
Perhaps you want to see the RAW-file?

I post this here as the feedback link you provide in the email malfunctions.

Regards,
Hallgeir

It's odd, just send a PM to the Host and ask why and see if the image can be re-instated.

CalBoy87: Interesting concept. It looks good. Only thing I would do here is to crop the left sunny side of the shot.

Same here crop the bright light on the left but I would keep the flowers on the right.

Looks like a print not like a photograph and thus has it's own quality, nice image pleasant to look at.

It looks to me like a mask and a sea creature embryo. It is simple and yet complete given the line from the corner down and right suggesting an attraction to the mask. A little right and bottom cropping could help the interaction. Interesting image.

All the pins should be in the image as stated earlier.

Shadows and highlights need to be adjusted to bring more details into the dark forefront, this could de-emphasize the sea-boats-island in the background and bring the forefront as the main subject..

Looks like levitation to me, interesting for sure but I don't really care for it.

The photo should stand as is, I have no constructive suggestion. The green light contrasts with the dark right side and the clear diagonal ray of light balances the dark right space. This may be the photographer's intended effect but I don't know for sure.

I would crop out the light area in the middle and top of photo, it is distracting to me. I love the light colored Seagull against the dark background, I have no issue with the vignette.

The composition, the texture and the colors blend together perfectly to give a lovely image. Great shot.

It is a very dynamic image and I wouldn't change anything. I like it a lot.

DougSchuch: My eye keeps going to the center of the picture where everything is bright, busy, and blurry. The man is being crowded out by all the other distractions, even though he should be the main subject. This image seems sort of spontaneous but not well thought out.

And again I repeat: "Opinions are like noses....everybody has one.)

Same as you, my eyes are moving quickly from the subject to the red ham, someone suggested more blurring of the background and this would.

On RUN! in the Discussion challenge: Off Centered Subject challenge (9 comments in total)
In reply to:

jmgir: It's a great action image but lacks the object that the photographer is running from, do you have the full event with the car even if it is far, it could give some depth. He seems to be running towards me while keeping his eyes on the vehicle.

OK, sorry if I misunderstood the fact that it wouldn't work. The dynamic movement of the photographer is obvious so is your great timing.
