The size comparison as stated is not fair to Fuji: it is 300 mm FF equivalent range lens, naturally it is bound to be 1.5 times longer (extended) than 200 mm equivalent Panasonic lens even before...
-
Indeed that would be much closer but not complete equivalent.
Fuji 55-200 f/3.5-4.8 would be equivalent to 82-300 f/5.3-7.2. Nikon 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 and Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6 offer slightly wider...

I'm not so sure about the latter comparison when images taken at the same DOF.
Say, Fuji 35 at f/1.4 --> Canikon 50 mm at f/2,
Fuji 35mm at f/2 --> Canikon 50 at f/2.8,
Fuji 35 at f/2.8 -->...
-
That would be an incorrect comparison. Canikon 35/1.4 lenses are retro focus design out of necessity to clear room for a mirror box. That is pretty much the only factor making them expensive....
-
Differences between what and what? We can only see one photo and nothing to compare it to. I predict that a picture taken with any other decent (or even semi-decent) lens at f/14 would provide the...

Well, the lens is probably good, and may be even crazy good, but how would a photo taken at F/14 illustrate this statement? The lens should be pretty bad NOT to be diffraction lumited at this...

Been there. 12-60 is an absolutely gorgeous lens. One problem with it though, it loses aperture very fast as it's zoomed out. The lens is f/3.7 already by 35 mm. Panasonic would be almost a stop...

Sorry, I meant /1.4, or x0.7
-
That would be as complicated as mounting Tokina 50-135 f/2.8 on an x1.4 Speed Booster adapter for m43.

Thanks! I just didn't know how far it extends (some macro lenses do a lot, almost doubling in length) nor did I know the back flange distance. 15-16 cm is very nice (well, OK for 1:2, would be...

I think the first is Fuji, the second -- Canon. Fuji resolves fine textures (eyebrows, skin and shirt textures) better due to the lack of AA filter.
But it is close indeed.

Thank you for your answer, but it is not the answer to the question I asked. "Focus as close as 10.5 inches" from the object to what? The "minimum focusing distance" all manufacturers and (I guess)...
-
Sorry, but I can't find it anywhere (seems to be a conspiracy of the macro lens manufacturers).
The question is: what is the working distance (the distance from the object to the FRONT LENS...

No hand grip again? When will they learn?

Tested at f/11? What normal or tele lens ISN'T sharp to the corners at this aperture?

I tried something like that. Not on FF, but on x1.5 crop of Fuji X-E1. And, again, not the micro 4/3 but a full 4/3 lens 12-60 f/2.8-4. It's a good piece of glass. A very good piece.
So first I...

Not bad at all, but how different would this shot be if taken with 18-55 zoom at 55 mm f/4?
-
I guess I’m an unbiased party. I have both Olympus OM-D (with a lot of lenses) and Fuji X-E1 with 18-55 zoom. Well, and a full frame Canon 5DII with a nice line up of lenses as well, so no bias...
