I agree.  Captured bird or free, this is a stunner. I don't know what nfpotter is complaining about, but it looks like his gallery is full of fairly well done wild birds.

I've bought more waterproof compacts that DSLRs over the years. Fun to have!

I'm a gaffer: Popup flash: all cameras PASM selection dial: D7000 That silly 1/3 exposure switch: x100s When in doubt, gaff it up!

They specifically said it was much better that the D7100.

The only AF 'issue' I remember was something about video.
