Always remove the lens hood when using the on board flash.

I think you're pretty much correct but it seems to me that it bases it's color rendition on these styles but doesn't always follow them exactly. Not a good way to go if you shoot jpeg only imho...

Thanks for the correction, not sure if your idea will fly though.

Skyglider the camera did expose the scene for zero compensation. The photographer and the camera's meter were both fooled by the large expanse of sky and water within the frame hence the...

This is underexposure caused by the bright sky and sea which are dominating the second pic and the one you uploaded in your second post.Be aware that the sky is also being reflected by the sea so...

Thank very much. When I first bought it I tried the other lug to see if I could wear it across my right shoulder but it didn't feel right. Never occurred to me to leave it there and use it like you...

You haven't missed anything Michele, the 1100D/T3 does not have a DOF preview button at the side of the lens throat. That's the bad news. :-( Good news is that you can assign the set button to DOF...

You won't see anything happen until you stop the lens down to a smaller aperture F8-22 e.g. Look through the viewfinder ,push the DOF button in and change the aperture from say F 5.6 to F16 and...

-
You've got this wrong, aperture settings with large numbers such as F16 result in a smaller aperture leading to more extensive DOF ( more of the subject in focus) and larger numbered settings...
