  • You have put together a very readable review, very informative. It explains what is appealing about the K-3. Reading it gives me a better understanding of why I enjoy using Pentax Cameras. K-5 for ...
  • All is not lost, Ricoh have put their name under the camera on the base.  It's also in nice big text on the box that the camera is packaged in.  I'm happy with Ricoh putting their name on the rear ...
  • It is so easy to switch on/off the rear LCD, just toggle the info button if half depressing the shutter release is not enough for you.  It ain't broke so...blah blah
  • The question for me is; will Lightroom be able to handle Pixel Shift raw files???
  • Looks like Tuesday is the earliest we can expect in UKland. Yet another good reason to emigrate to Canada, the others being that two of my children now live there and a third on his way!  Lovely ...
  • It's no big deal, the info button toggles the rear display screen, and as has been pointed out, depressing the shutter also blanks it out. If it's a deal breaker, then perhaps you are looking for ...
  • Created discussions K-3 II being shipped yet?
Today is the 22 May, unless I'm incorrect, the date for shipment of K-3 II.  Anyone know if it's happening?  Anyone seen one in the shops?  Anyone taken delivery or got one at home yet? Just hoping ...
  • Replied in KX body
Lenses are a long term investment, they will most likely outlast your camera. The advantage of primes is sharpness and resolution - as well as a wider aperture.  I have the DA 35mm f2.4 which is a ...
  • Looks like the Metz is more powerful,

  • Thanks for this guys, sure is small enough for the shirt pocket.

    In the end I opted for the baby Pentax AF 201 which measures 65 mm x 72.5mm x 31mm, / 2.6 x 2.9 x 1.2 in. The Metz is a higher...

  • I was looking for a compact flash to go with the K-3 II, and considered this but was put off by the dimensions: 63x85x85mm/2.48x3.35x3.35in. Not exactly compact.

If anyone has this flash, can...

Done the deed, and included the tiny AF 201 FG just in case some day I find myself looking for a built-in flash. GPS I will use all the time.

Still going to keep the K-5 though, for low light...

  • Agree, Scott, P-TTL wireless should be integrated - hopefully Pentax see your suggestion and act on it. The Sony looks neat but your pocket may be bulging just a little more than mine, ha! ...
  • Yes, if that's how you want to put it. If there was a rush on the K-3, but the K-3ii remained unsold, Pentax would get the message. But even you, Prime, must be tiring of the whinging, negativity, ...
  • This one for Scott: the new tiltable Pentax AF 201 FG at 2.6 x 2.9 x 1.2 in. is quite small.
  • I'm really looking forward to buying a K-3ii soon. I don't use the built in flash on my K-5, but I will use GPS to record location information a great deal; most of my photographs are of ...
  • yes, 17-70, fantastic lens; never fails to find focus there will be more.........

Clever move Pentax. I was thinking of getting one of their clip on GPS units for my K-5, now I am persuaded to treat myself to a new camera.

The K-3ii is on my shopping list!
