Indoors, low light, concerts, fireworks, astro-photography, weddings, corporate functions...so quite a few, and I disagree that 52mm is "way too short" for portraits.

Don't fall for it NPDAV, it's just trolling from a D7100 wannabe owner. It's amazing how many people lie on this forum about the cameras they supposedly "owned" then returned and went back to...

This sounds like a post fromsomeone who never owned the pro kit consisting of D800, 24-70 and 70-200 f/2.8 lenses and tries to "justify" his purchase of a DX camera instead by bagging the FX camera...

They are, because there are new 30" DELL IPS monitor models that superseded 3007, like the 3011 and 3014.

Maybe this will halp convey the message that the photography isn't abot the camera...who cares anymore if it's 600, 650 or 700, it doesn't really matter.

Has it been that long already? 9 months? Canon is turning these low end EOSes into a joke. There will be certainly a good number of 650D owners who would feel a hard done by.

Noggy...buyer's remorse can be a real b$tch sometimes.

armandino...you obviously never heard of a fill-flash, which many of us use. What an unintelligent generalization.

The problem is that with recent advancement in digi cams the new f/4 is becoming the old f/2.8. So expect many more lens products built around the ~ f/4 aperture and costing a pretty penny.

Nope. It's a consumer grade lens, very similar in construction and features to the 'pedestrian' 24-85mm kit lens that comes with D600.

My thoughts exactly. Or the camera retail package may a 1200 grit sand paper and Cape Cod polishing cloth packed as an optional accessories? :-)

Your English is good, no need to use alternative. Also, what you refer to as "my Leica" is the largest M model you could pick, being M9. Compare it to an M-E model and you'll see there isn't so...

Plenty, just look around you, Everlast66. However if you're so keen on a $3k fixed lens mirrorless camera just because it's the first full-frame non-Leica compact camera out there, by all means go...

Oh wow, I wouldn't be so sure. Especially not with fixed 35mm lens as only option.
