Not to insult you but first off make sure you have a memory card in the camera bec it will default to memory saving settings mode if you power the cam back on without one in. Also when you go to...

... that when shooting RAW or RAW+ jpg it is actually almost instant ... if you mean the time between saving to card and being able to shoot again then it seems just as fast as the X20. I shot a...

... also I have a black XF1 for sale in the For Sale forum here at Dpr if you are interested ... I just got ahold of a red one and that's the reason the black one is for sale :-)
-
I get your question and any camera is normally slower when saving RAW files however with the XF1 (which is silimiar to the X10) jpgs are quite good and you need not correct blown highlights or WB...

PM your email and I'll send you photos ... sorry don't have Adobe to upload to Dpr thru my gallery :(

I am selling a black XF1 with all Fujifilm accessories. I have this one and recently aquired a red XF1 and that's why this is for sale. It takes terrif pics and is actually more pleasing in many...

Sorry I meant RX200 is due to be announced in June.

I've owned all three and currently have the X20 and the XF1 and honestly prefer the XF1 in low light -but- having tried the LX7 and RX100 I'd stay away from the LX7 ... chroma noise in jpgs in low...

I have yet to see an advantage to shooting at M size ... has anyone found a reason to do so? ... I know on X10 there is an obvious advantage but this new sensor with EXR appears to act differently...
-
Well the XF1 is very similar to the X10 IQ wise and the X20 is better outdoors than the XF1 -but- in low light there may be a step back in noise performance ... beit with slightly more detail and...

Ya the X20 has slightly better sharpness/detail here but the diff isn't huge and you add the DR advantage and noise control of the X10 and not so sure the X20 is a clear winner esp when you look at...

... at least the daylight ones. I shoot jpgs and compared the X20 with my XF1 in outdoor low ISOs and the X20 is noticeably sharper and more detailed but in low light/high ISOs it appears Fuji has...

I had the X10 and the P7700 and the X10 is much faster in all ways ... focus, write times and overall operation. Better DR and OOC jpgs. If Nikon had made the P7700 a bit snappier then they would...

I find the XF1 to do ok at ISO3200 shot normally but using the Pro Low Light mode the IQ improves even more in my tests and it doesn't seem to kill fine detail like previous models ... so Fuji has...
-
... sounds like a prob with the camera for sure ... I've had a few different cards in my XF1 and never had an issue.
-
I agree with your comments and the IQ of this cam is quie similiar to the X10 ... I also really like the 24mm WA and faster AF/overall operational speed of the XF1 but it's not as pocketable and...

... are all advantages of the XF1 over the F200 ... but the shorter 100mm range of the XF1 and awkward startup/shutdown regiment are poss negatives to some people.

I picked one of these up for a great price ($262) and it is a very nice camera (even jpgs) -but- the camera AF hunts alot during videos and the DR isn't quite as good as my XF1 ... other than that...
-
Funny thing is that I sold my X10 to buy the X20 ... then tried to get another X10 but have since got the XF1 which is a very nice camera on it's own merits and also has great jpgs like the 10. I'm...
